I'm the lead editor for a small independent press, but I am on maternity leave for the next several years and thus not accepting submissions. I'll tell you my professional opinion on first chapters or short pieces and whether I would have accepted it or rejected it if I was looking for work. I've dealt most with controversial speculative fiction, and I'm most interested in polyamory a.k.a consensual non-monogamy.

The grammar here is very clean, and I like how the characters are being kind to each other.

Why isn't Momma Ginger making milk for her kittens? Humans are the only mammal who give their offspring milk from a different mammal, and several scientific studies have shown that has consequences, especially when done too young.

I would like to see more stories that celebrate being a mammal. "Mama, Mama" by Jean Marzollo is my favorite in that regard:

My press doesn't deal with poetry, but this does look like a skillfully crafted list. Each title is enticing, and the descriptions provide added information about what to expect.

I'm not quite sure what EP means here. Is each numbered item in the list supposed to be an EP, because it gives me the impression that each numbered item would contain multiple poems, and all the items combined would culminate in a full-length book?
