|Hello, my Totoise Friend! I belong to the World Wide Turtle and Tortoise Rescue. Sometimes the president and I will mail different turtles to each other. There is a SC Herpetology Society here. I used to be the secretary. I've seen so many beautiful reptiles! Sorry, your name just made that thought pop into my head from years ago when I lived in the country on a large farm, raising and sellling mules and other equines.
I just wanted to comment on your poem, "Lost." In my limited judgement, your poem brought out feelings of sorrow as anyone should when someone is going to be killed. I've been following the Jodi Arison trial and I just turned on the TV to record because I have to have a cat euthanized in a little while. So to me, at this time, what are the odds? I just wanted to read your bio, and noticed the poem! How spooky is that?
I will try to read more poetry like yours. Maybe I will get up the nerve on day!
ps I am really a pacifist about all of God's creatures, even trees and weeds. Yet I have a dark hateful feeling when I look into her eyes, they have no feeling. When her team of lawyers is trying desperately to save her worthless life, she is not paying much, if any, attention. All that writing people see her doing, is actually sketching, drawing, and using palat chalk (I am an artist and pray someone noticed.) I she made a mockery of all of the unfortuante battered women! I've been around and I have a handle on how to judge animals. Jodie is easy to read. She enjoyes the limelight. If she goes back to prison, she will always find a way to be a star and have an "captured audience!"
