Being alone, allows you time to do the things that maybe your significant other may not wish to take part in, but there is no enjoyment in being lonely. *Thumbsup* I think you did a good job in showing her past reflection and the thoughts of hope and things to come. Your character shows growth in being able to deal with things from her past that seemed at one time overwhelming. There's a progression- she truly did not know the proper way to cope, besides self-infliction, and now she looks at her scars and deems up the courage to start in a new place.

I think that you also do a good job is showing the relief that she's only interested in a rabbit, and not a snake. One quick thing I noticed in the brief description is daughters should be daughter's. Thank you sharing this is experience with us, and I am happy that you did not have to buy the python!

*Thumbsup* This is too cute! I love the idea of the mice finding alternate routes, such as the power lines to travel. Also, like that you did this from the mouse's point of view. It actually makes them seem maternal, just trying to provide for their babies, instead of only being an uninvited house guest.

*Shock* How have I not reviewed this before? Oh my goodness, this is hysterical, and right on the money with the actual song.

I am not a singer by any means, but since I'm rocking it solo right now there's nothing to be shy about. I tried singing along with this, and the first few times I could not make in through the first 2 stanzas without laughing.

*Thumbsup* I think the funny part of this would have been to see my reactions while reading this. I am not a story writer, but I feel a hundred percent better knowing that this was intentional. I'm laughing because I can't muster up anything great to say, but in this particular case, that is a good thing. Well, wait a minute! That is something positive! I think you were successful in reaching your goal, Angus!

Sneaky idea to not let us know that until the end of your story. This is bad, but I am impressed by what you accomplished. I think having to write something bad is probably harder than one would think.

*Sad* This is a painful piece, very crushing to the heart. It breaks me, knowing that there are instances where someone has the ability to harm something as precious and innocent as a child. *Thumbsup* I really want to try doing one of these! I am impressed, not only did you create a perfect hourglass, but it rhymes too! I love the message behind this. Often, when we reflect on moments in life it can get emotional and bring forth the tears. What you say is very true- these experiences and moments are ones that make us who we are, and even though we've done or attempted much, there's still a lot left in this world for us to do.

Also, I like that you chose the topic you did using an hourglass; time does slip away quickly like sand.
