I love this! I was caught in the rain just yesterday. I was so much fun! I think as adults we need to do this more often. I like your writing style, fun and easy to read. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless you! Maci
What a beautiful poem. I could feel your pain. But by the end the pain is eased and you see it in your writing. He loves us and is with us through all times! Thanks for sharing. God Bless You! Maci
What A beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing it with the world. It really tugged at my heart. I want you to think about this one thing, sweet Lady. When you get to heaven...Lucy will be waiting in the wings! God bless you!
I loved this! I like that I can picture it through every line. My favorite part was ..
Love is the songbirds gently waking, calling us to celebrate the morning after a good night’s sleep.
Love is an awakening, uncovering deep unknown and hidden passages.
In two sentences you took us from the simple sang bird to hidden passages and never last a beat. Thanks for sharing! Maci
Oh those carefree days when the biggest decision is decided with enee, meanie, Miney , mo! I love the flow and can relate to thinking things like this many times in my life! Way to go!
Wow! I could feel the deep pain and I can also relate. My dad was a drunk and he caused so many bad memories that they overtake the good in my childhood. But today we may have cracks and we may be broken in ways but... We are survivors! I for one am glad you are still here. Way to go! well done and keep writing! Maci
Wow... how powerful! But I can't help think that everyone in her life (when it came to her) Nobody tried. They all failed... They disappointed YOU! Shame on them! I hope things are better for her now. Well written... Way to go! Maci
So very true. I pictured as I read this a child discovering rain or snow for the first time! A wonderful example of the "spice of our beings." Thanks for sharing! Maci
I guess you can tell that I have marked you as a favorite. I just wanted to say that the next time you are at the monument say a thank you from me. I will do the same tonight when I pray.
P.S. My dad served as a M.P. in the Navy. He died when I was 13 and as far as I know he never talked about WWII. Have a great day.
what a wonderful story. I was drawn into it and could not let it go. I was hurting with Mrs Marshall and taken back at the end with Ruth. Well done... Keep writing!
I love this story. I can also relate. I weighed 6.2 pounds and my twin sister weighed 7.2. Pit those weights together.... lol I found this out in my seventh month. Twins was enough for me to freak out. But the way you told this story was so well done. The flow smooth and very enjoying to read. Way to go! Well done!
Wow! This is great... so well told how love can be bitter. After seeing it as others saw it. You know, after the excitement of your own view of love took a breath and reality slipped in. Ouch! I could feel your pain, Well done!
