Great writing. I am of course hoping that you are feeling much better at this point and are able to continue your writing. We newbies count on you for support and motivation.
Consider yourself VERY Lucky! I am a newbie here as well and I would absolutly LOVE IT if someone felt benevolent enought to upgrade me. It's nice to know that you have an angel by your side. Enjoy your upgraded membership! You wouldn't have gotten it if you didn't deserve it. (and by the way, it wasn't me!)
I really don't know what to say. Maybe I should say nothing, but that isn't what we are supposed to do here. I feel lost, confused, depressed. Are these the feelings you wanted to convey? If so, you succeeded! What intentions did you wish to accomplish? Are you expressing the feeling of utter desolution? Again, you succeeded. You are very vague here, but then again, intentions in an abusive situation, must be kept vague! I too, grew up in a household filled with abuse. I didn't realize it way into adulthood. What a wake up call! My "intentions" were a detriment to my survival. The best I could do, was what I was told. THAT kept me out of trouble.
Great poem! Great feeling within it. Check the punctuation again, I wasn't sure where certain lines ended and others began. I am a big promoter of saying what needs to be said when it needs to be said and not waiting; Giving those hugs NOW and not waiting until later. Death sneaks up on us, but it does send us clues. We need to listen to the voice within. Your father did just that. I hope he got his hug too.
Fantastic artwork and great sentiments. Can I send these to people who are out side of writing.com or do they only apply to people within this website. You were not clear on that, or I just don't remember seeing it anywhere. None the less...I liked what I saw.
Thank you for providing this information for a newbie such as I. I am really glad I came across this website today. For some reason I just decided it was time to write!! Well, actually I took a self-assessment test which basically said "WHY THE HECK AREN'T YOU WRITING?". Somehow, that led me here and I am very grateful it did. These Guidelines are something I will definately adhear to.
