My impression of this item was: This is a dark poem about a lover who is waiting for a lover and has been stood up. The lover feels rejected. If this was a one time thing, perhaps something happened? The author feels anxiety because they were stood up. On the other hand, perhaps their heart was broken?

My impression of this item was: This is a poem about how the world is getting smaller. It truly is getting smaller. When I was a child people traveled but we did not have a global economy. Now most of the products we buy are made in China and it is junk. The world is changing and not for the better.

My impression of this item was: This was a fun little puzzle using three letter words. One would not think there are so many three letter words but they are numerous. To look at this puzzle you would not expect that all the words are in there but they are.

My impression of this item was: This is a poem about friendship that has been forgotten. The author wonders if there is any way to rekindle the flame. Friendships of the past can often be like campfires. The ashes can be stirred and kindling piled on, but once the fire has been out for awhile the only choice is to start anew.

My impression of this item was: This is a poem about trees in a thunderstorm. The trees appear to be dancing as the wind rips and roars. The poem is written in free verse and is filled with imagery.

My impression of this item was: This is a beautiful poem about angels crying. I don't know if angels cry but I imagine there are times they are saddened by human events. Your poem expresses what the cry of an angel would sound like if angels did cry. i would say you are pretty accurate with your description.

My impression of this item was: This is a poem about Earth's biggest satellite. The poem calls the moon a thief. I guess I never thought of it that way but you are correct. The moon does steal light to shine as it does. This is a cute haiku.

My impression of this item was: This is a poem about things that are virtually useless. A car with no ignition or a Chinese checkerboard with no marbles would not be a good thing. Of course, I don't remember how to play Chinese checkers, so that wouldn't be too bad. This poem expresses desperation well.

What I liked most: I liked the imagination in this one and the fact that it is an attempt at meter.

My impression of this item was: This is a metered poem about those lovely summertime creatures that kids love so much. My mom would always let us catch a few. Then she would put them in a jar with holes in the lid. As soon as we were asleep she'd turn them loose. She never knew that I knew that.

My impression of this item was: Days that live in infamy as President Roosevelt said of Pearl Harbor. Most of us are too young to remember Pearl Harbor. Those who do remember it tell us that we have been attacked twice on American soil. The Twin Towers will be rebuilt. America will someday be a country again if we do not destroy ourselves.

My impression of this item was: St. Augustine once said that humans were "homo incurvatus in se" that is "We are curved inward or self-focused."

I think your poem captured this well. I don't think this was meant to be a diamante poem but it looked like one so I gave you five stars for form. Form is one of the hardest parts of writing a poem in meter. Good job.

My impression of this item was: This is a piece about a person with schizoid personality disorder. The author believes having this disorder makes them a worthless person. I disagree. It may make them hard to love since they are not capable of returning love, but it does not make them worthless. Every human being has intrinsic value.

My impression of this item was: This is a poem about the author. The author describes himself as somebody nobody would want to be around. I seriously doubt the author is all of these things. I mean these may be some of the traits but I feel sure there are good qualities as well.

My impression of this item was: This is a sad and dark poem about a plane crash. It makes me a little scared of flying and flying is part of my job. I am a disaster relief worker with the Salvation Army. I get deployed when there is a disaster and I usually fly to the scene. This poem makes me a little uncomfortable but there is more chance of dying from a car wreck.

My impression of this item was: This is a poem about a banana that is smashed in the middle of the road. The author uses good imagination in seeing this banana as most people would see it simply as unidentified trash. The author asks if the banana was peeled as a result of a "peel out". I love the pun!

My impression of this item was: This is a Shakespearean sonnet about growing old. I liked the metaphor of it. While it never speaks directly to the cause of the wrinkle, it does have many metaphors about the wear and tear of everyday life. My mother used to say that she earned every gray hair. That also applies to wrinkles.

Your spelling and grammar: looked good to me.

What I liked most: I liked the meter. While I am not a good judge of iambic pentameter, I can tell when something flows well. I did not do a syllable count but they appeared correct.

What I liked least: Nothing.
