*Note4*I AM REVIEWING YOUR STORY AS A JUDGE FOR "Star Trek Poetry CONTEST . THANKS FOR ENTERING!

*Star*This review is an acknowledgment of your contest entry, as well as some of my brief thoughts.

*Exclaim* What a sentimental ending - This was something that even McCoy couldn't fix.

You only just touched on the tale in your short and simple poem, but you succeeded in adding lots of great Star Trek lingo.

Thanks for making our contest be the first contest you entered on WDC. I hope you'll enter again next month. *Delight*

*Star*This review is an acknowledgment of your contest entry, as well as some of my brief thoughts.

*Exclaim*Your consistent rhyming of 'generation' throughout your poem seemed to be a unique and fresh idea. I found myself anticipating what word you'd use next.

It was also fun to read the comparisons of Captain Piccard's crew and experiences with those of Captain Kirk.

I really enjoyed the final stanza! You 'made it so'!

*Star*This review is an acknowledgment of your contest entry, as well as some of my brief thoughts.

*Exclaim*Thanks for putting a grin on my face. Your humorous story poem was funny from the beginning to the end.

"Think of a singing ball of bright fur..." What a great opening line for your tribble poem!

The smooth-flowing rhyme made your poem even more pleasant to read.

It was fun to remember that episode again. Also, the note at the bottom about it was a great idea. The link to the contest was a good addition, too.

*Fire* Congrats piewhackett1! You're receiving a gift from "Invalid Item ! The Solar Package has been ordered for you from: Julie D - PUBLISHED! and includes the review of five poems!! Enjoy! *Fire*

*Note4* FIRST IMPRESSION: This is a poem about how words can form a picture in the mind.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: I can picture what you're saying. ...I just had to say that! These are thoughts that we all need to keep in mind while we write. We've all been taught to show, not tell, and you did a good job of putting these ideas into a poem.

*Check2*ERRORS: I didn't find any errors.

*Star*FAVORITE PART: This was a great idea for a poem. You succeeded in creating an educational story-poem, that was a pleasure to read. It's nice to learn things in a fun way. Your philosophical and poetic words will do that.

You wrote that entertaining stories are the ones told from the heart, and it seems that you wrote this one from the heart. *Smile*

The smooth rhyme added to the pleasant flow of the poem, and the blue font and centering was a nice compliment to it.

*Fire* Congrats! You're receiving a gift from "Invalid Item ! The Fossil Fuel Package has been ordered for you from: Julie D - PUBLISHED! and includes one review, this item!! Enjoy! *Fire*

*Note4* FIRST IMPRESSION: This is a poem about the temporary nature of man.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: Wow, this is certainly very beautiful poetry. This is the type of poem that makes your readers think deeply about your philosophical ideas.

*Check2*ERRORS: I didn't notice any errors in this well-written piece.

*Star*FAVORITE PART: I enjoyed reading your poem. It goes far beyond a simple rhyming poem. Your poem showed incredible thought an talent. I enjoyed the 'cattle king' stanza the best of all!

It goes to prove that some things which people seem to think are important, are only small in the scheme of things, and don't last forever.

I really loved your very last stanza. It was tender and sweet. *Smile*

*Idea*SUGGESTIONS: In your brief introduction, you wrote, "Thich Nhat Hanh said, is, is is." Maybe some people know at once what that means, but you might like to write a sentence or two about it before or after your poem to show the relation. You might include something about what thoughts you were attempting to show in this work. A note about your Rwanda stanza might also be nice, for those who aren't history buffs...

Review of Seasons Reasons

*Thumbsup*Reviewed by Maryann *Thumbsup*

*Note4* FIRST IMPRESSION: This is a poll about the four seasons.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: This is a great idea for a poll. I often wonder which seasons people enjoy more. Some say summer is too hot, yet everyone always looks forward to it. Some miss the snow when they can't be in those areas in the winter. Many are eager for spring, and also love the colors of fall...

*Check2*ERRORS: I didn't see any errors.

*Star*FAVORITE PART: You seem to have set the poll up well. I like your choices, though I might have probably put, "I like them all", in the place of "I don't care", but that of course is your choice. Anyway, nice job in thinking up this poll. *Smile*

*Idea*SUGGESTIONS: Like I mentioned before, there are many good points about each season. You have a nice poll, but there's not much to it. Why not add a sentence or two about each of the seasons in your heading...

You might also write a bit about why you are interested in this poll...What your favorite season is...

You wrote in your brief introduction that you'd like to know all about what the people are picking. Why not write that in your heading as well. You might ask them to leave you a review or send you an email to let you know why they picked a certain season.

*Note4* FIRST IMPRESSION: This is a really cute story about children at play while enjoying nature.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: This is a perfect nature story. You wrote it so well, that I can actually envision being there. *Smile*

*Check2*ERRORS: This is perfect. I didn't find any errors. Nice work with proofreading. *Thumbsup*

*Star*FAVORITE PART: Wow! Your descriptions are spot on. You succeeded in awaking every one of the senses. You readers will imagine the feel of bumping down a rocky hill on a cardboard sled, and the sights of autumn. They'll almost hear the squish of mud between toes.

I liked the fun and adventurous theme of your cute story. Nice work. *Smile*

*Note4* FIRST IMPRESSION: This is a fun quiz about famous dragons.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: Ah this was lots of fun! I scored 12 out of 18. A couple of them I really took guesses. *Thumbsup*

When you have this one up and going, I would like to add a link to it in the heading of "Movie Talk, if that's okay with you. I think lots of people who enjoy movies would love to take this quiz.

*Check2*ERRORS: I didn't see any errors.

*Star*FAVORITE PART: You named some of my very favorite movies and books. Of course I loved all of the Harry Potter series. Who could forget Sean Connery in Dragonheart... Spirited Away was one of my all time favorite animations.

I liked your heading, too, before the quiz. The humor in the opening quote was great! *Delight*

*Idea*SUGGESTIONS: Will I get to know how I scored against others? I know I'll have some tough competition against the fantasy group...

*Fire* Congrats! You're receiving a gift from "Invalid Item ! The Nuclear Package has been ordered for you from: ~A.J. Lyle~ and includes the message, "Thank you for your outstanding participation in February's Weekend Raid!! You rock!" *Fire*

*Note4* FIRST IMPRESSION: This is an odd story about a blind date.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: Oh my gosh! I won't give away the ending in this public review in case anyone happens to glance at this, but I didn't see that coming at all! That was so funny!

*Star*FAVORITE PART: I did enjoy this very much. I found it entertaining and pleasant to read.

I was curious as to what would become of the blind date and I wondered who these people were. Gosh, you showed your creativity by creating such a surprise ending. Nice work. *Smile*

*Idea*SUGGESTIONS: I found myself losing track at times as to who was saying what. I'm not sure what the activity asked for of this item, but maybe you might add in their names in more places, etc.

A link to the activity you wrote this item for might also be helpful in getting your readers to understand why it's written the way it is...Or a note at the bottom can give a bit of explanation.

*Note4* FIRST IMPRESSION: This is a story about a cat and the supernatural.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: Wow! Your eerie story made me shiver! I didn't even realize how captivated I was in reading it, until I had goosebumps! *Shock*

*Check2*ERRORS: I didn't see any errors. This is well written. It's no wonder this story already had 14 reviewers. *Smile*

*Star*FAVORITE PART: I felt that your mesmerizing story was written like a master story-teller from beginning to end. This would be a great story at Halloween time.

I liked how you casually added details, which added to the eeriness of it. For example, the cat was found on Friday the 13th. Right away from the beginning, you set the mood for the rest of the story. It causes your readers to wonder what happens next.

It was a touching moment to read about the condition Meeka was in when Lenore found her. Your readers can understand that Lenore has a good heart to take the cat in and take care of her so well.

LOL I liked the humor when Rudolph wished the cat came with a mute button! Words like, 'yowling', make your readers imagine the cats voice.

I also laughed to myself when I read how it's told that some cats can train their humans! I can relate to that, as my Labrador certainly has me trained. She'll stand in a certain spot in the kitchen, and then I know to go to the dog biscuit jar...

Lenore thought Meeka had ties to the world of the supernatural. Gosh! What an ending! Rudolph became a believer at the end, didn't he! Great job in putting this story together. *Smile*

*Star*This review is an acknowledgment of your contest entry, as well as some of my brief thoughts.

*Exclaim*It is said that time heals all wounds, and as you wrote in your poem, "...time will change and age may mend." Great wisdom there...

I enjoyed the mention of "lips of frost", as I felt it reflected the coldness of the December title.

I also enjoyed the gentle rhyme of your poem, and I liked the play on words, such as the cupid's dart. I thought that perhaps the c in Cupid should be capitalized. ...Anyway, those types of words added a bit of magical fantasy to your tender and bittersweet poetic words.

The image was a nice touch, too. Great work! *Smile*

*Exclaim* You put together a well written poem. I felt that these lines could be un-marriage vows!

It seemed to me that the rhyme flowed smoothly, which made your poem pleasant to read. I also enjoyed reading some of the more whimsical words you chose, such as "Twould be to be unbound", and "crimson smiles."

The use of italicized lines for thoughts showed creativity. Nice work. *Smile*

*Note4* FIRST IMPRESSION: This is a very pretty poem about the night sky.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: Let me be among the first to welcome you to WDC. I'm impressed to see so many wonderful items in your port already.

*Star*FAVORITE PART: I enjoy reading poems about the night sky. Your poem made me think about the many twinkling lights of the stars, and the soft glow of the night.

I liked the poetic words of your second stanza the best. Ironically, the first line of your poem was the only line which didn't read well to me...And that's also what you have in your brief introduction. It didn't at all take away from the beauty of your lovely poem. Very nice indeed...

*Idea*SUGGESTIONS: You didn't yet pick a genre for you poem. Right now, it is listed under 'other'. You might go back and edit and choose something...Romance...Fantasy...etc. This way, your poem will get more views when someone does a search.

Later, you might showcase your poem a bit more. It's a very pretty poem, so it would be well deserved to have a nice 'first' appearance. Perhaps think about centering your poem. Maybe experiment with the size or color of the font. At some point, you might go back and add a wondrous image...

*Note4* FIRST IMPRESSION: This is a poem of nature.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: Hello Louise, and welcome to WDC. I was impressed to see all of the lovely things you put in your port since you joined our fantastic site. I hope you'll keep up the great work. *Smile*

*Star*FAVORITE PART: It's terrific that you can find inspiration in all of the things you come into contact with. Your creativity shows in your writing.

The rhyme seemed just a slight bit forced at times - 'need' trying to rhyme with 'free', for example, but that in no way took away from the sweet story your poem told. I often wonder where the little birds go, and your wondrous poem made me stop and envision that for a moment.

Thank you for sharing your poem. It was very pleasant to read. *Smile*

*Idea*SUGGESTIONS: Why not center your poem. It's such a simple poem, which a really like. ...But there seems to be so much space to the right of it. I think it would look so much better in the {center}

LOL I wouldn't want that standing in my way! ...But then, Nero was trying to destroy the Earth! He got what he deserved. That was a good lesson to the enemies of the Doctor. *Bigsmile*

*Star*This review is an acknowledgment of your contest entry, as well as some of my brief thoughts.

*Exclaim* It sounds like you have a feasible plan. The goals seem clear and you seem enthusiastic about following them.

A group where assignments lead to finishing a novel by a specific date, in your case September 15th, seems like a very creative and effective way of getting the job done.

Exercising while the baby takes a nap will give you an easy routine to follow.

Using the new baking gear you received for Christmas will lead to cakes you might be proud of. I used to love to make fancy things when my kids were little. I 'wore' my daughter in a baby backpack while she was three months to three years. She was always very delighted to watch me work from over my shoulder.

Good luck with your volunteer work. By asking to assist the head of your support group with her activities, your goal will turn into a reality.

Your goals will give you plenty to work on this year. It might be tough at times, but if you succeed you will have made 2011 a year of accomplishments.

You will have saved up money for three health and business classes taking place this year. You will have taken two fitness challenge courses. Also, you will have worked on your clear plan for that major writing project, in addition to a few smaller projects.

Good luck to you, and enjoy 2011.

*Note4*I AM REVIEWING YOUR STORY AS A JUDGE FOR "Dear Me: Official WDC Contest. THANKS FOR ENTERING!

*Star*This review is an acknowledgment of your contest entry, as well as some of my brief thoughts.

*Exclaim* It's good that you are able to know that you did the best you could as a mother, in spite of the rough road that life has led you through.

It's so wonderful that now, as you're getting older, your friendship with your own mother is growing stronger. I hope you'll stick to your goals of calling her often as well as also calling the other relatives you listed.

Have a healthy and happy 2011.

*Exclaim* Congratulations on your recent publication!

You have a plan, starting with reading, writing, and arithmetic. What a classic way to begin!

Reading twenty five books in 2011 should prove to be lots of fun.

It also seems exciting to have thoughts of publishing eight new short stories.

As for the arithmetic... I hope you get to write all of those words!

Enjoy the new year.
