"Samuel says looking deep into his wives" does Samuel have many wives?
There are many references to Elders. Is this a religious community?
I like the suspense and the fact that Samuel has two daughters to parent.
It makes me sympathetic to Samuel and concerned. Maybe, you should
make less spacing and compress the composition into three paragraphs.
That's subjective. It's a good mystery and I want to read more.

Review of Sentimentality

The pearl of immeasurable value. I am reminded of a toy solder
my dad put in the knoll of his pear tree. It was a tradition he picked
up from his dad. Celtic lore believes the tree's have old souls.
It is respectful to offer them a gift. In turn they will give you a wish.
Silly, but sentimental.

Your tribute is perfect.

When the wind is in the tree.
It makes a noise like the sea.
As if there were not noise enough.
To draw the sea men back to the surf.

Such is the turmoil of the forlorn.
What strikes me about your little capsule,
is how true love can be postponed.
There are so many obstacles and so little time.

Nice work.

Passages we must make. It is so true; the elderly are ignored.
My mother was a vibrant artist, then the smoking caught up with her.
We just can't forget how important hospital visits are. It keeps the
spirits up.

Honest to God this is perfect. It reminds of the dual nature of God
in Gnostic Gospels. Try explaining that to a Nun with a slap happy
ruler.

Sometimes, I go on an internet date and wonder, "Could I fall in love?
Then as we drive pass a dumpster; I visualize tossing my date in it."
It's the mindless savage in us all. Right?

Review of Lost Dreams

The story is a creation with a beginning and an end.
I had a debate on this assertion with Asherman.
This story has little action in it, but evokes a strong emotion.
How to be Free Men in a closed society?
Slavery was never abolished. It was given a new name "indentured servant."
If you have a debt; you are a slave to your debtor. +

Most peculiar you had to use a phrase. Not even writing can be free.
Dr. Fred Hoyle described life as a series of fields;

"There is the nuclear field that binds all atomic nuclei.
There is the electro-magnetic field that enables atoms
to absorb light.
There is the gravitational field that holds the stars and
galaxies together.
And there is the creation field that causes matter to originate."

I say there is also the Chaos Field. That allows Free Will.
But, this is far from the thrust of your story.
I think you created a smooth transition of events.

Review of War is over
Review by bob county
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)

I think this poem has good meter, but it sounds cleshe.
War as we know it is an extension of world politique.
It is also a hard topic to sell to readers. Most readers have
heard the about the evils of war and war profiteers.

"I wonder who won?
No one they are all gone." you write.

Well, did you know that short selling on Wall Street is driving up the price of oil?
The rise in oil prices has nothing to do with war in the middle east.
That's the Shell game.

Once again this proves my belief that women are screwed.
Biology is not fare. It leaves women with all the responsibility.
Emotionally, this diary is stereotypical, but it is much more.
How do you explain away unnatural feeling? Love, knows
no boundaries. Very thought provoking.

Review of Why now tarry?

This is a well rhymed poem. Of course there are hypocrites in the Church.

Read my essay on: Wicked Popes.

What astonishes me is the blind resistance to reason that religious institution
still exert. Honestly, do you want to force women to give birth? How would
could that be accomplished? Sexual freedom to not a lite topic. But, more
prohibition laws are be written by religious officials.

How many more scandals do we need to read?
The pompous and pious have no where to hide.

A friendly advocate,

Review of Einstein's Dream

"The least initial deviation from the truth is multiplied later a thousandfold."
Aristotle wrote in the fourth century B.C.
What is empirical truth? If I walk towards a door and do not open it; I will
slam into the door.
What is deductive reasoning? I know to some certainty what is on the other
side of the door.
What is the scientific method? The study of doors and objects for a more
consistent and precise application of doors.

I am offended, however, you may no mention of Fairies in your Mythological
Battle of the Gods. Fairies are supported in many UFO abduction accounts.
Look at the bug eyes hairless ET of UFO -ology. That's a Fairy.
The Bible stories of; Jacobs Ladder, Joshua stopping the Sun can be
interpreted as UFO encounters with Fairies.
Get a copy of Warner Brother's FATIMA; The Sun fell on the town of Fatima,
Portugal and there were cameras recording it. Sounds like a UFO to me.

There's a lot of truth to old folktales.

Oh, so sweet! Just keep the quotes definable: he said.
Sometimes I like to use captions: Mr. Dad and Jr. Son.
Sex is of course a thrilling topic. How many sicoms are
written about getting it and not getting it?

Funny I never got a "birds and bees" father and son chat.
"I'm not paying for an abortion." dad said.

Review of pouch poetry
Review by bob county
Rated: E | (4.5)

Poetry is most always written in the present. It is highly concentrated: all
nonessential words have been left out so as to express the immediate
emotions. Verbs are time words. They carry the poem forward or backward.
What I found lacking in your poem was a sense of direction it had no subject.
This is my personal preference. Perhaps, you intended to create a limbo;
with no beginning or end?

They're many good images !

This is a very jumpy village. Poor Lucy to be treated so rudely by the
parish priest and then to rise up as one of the undead. This is what
every parent fears. If you can't let the virginal daughter alone with the
Priest, what hope is there? I thought silver bullets were for Werewolves.
This is a new twist on old folklore. Man's carnal nature will not be tamed
in the village Dung.

What a sweet story. There is of course the interruption.
That creates suspense and an amusing confrontation.
But, the desire continues to a pleasant conclusion.
If you have a minute compare my cucumber tale to yours.
It never stops. That's what I like best about your story.
It as an open ending.

Back in the day folks got together to tell stories.
Mark Twain was a conman before he started to write.
"People will believe anything." he said. .. I guess the problem
with novels is most of us don't have the time read one.
Another publishing company has collapsed. Whose buying books?
Everything is a fad with suround sound. I went to see
"I am number 4" and kids were texting in the theater.
Maybe, someone will remember what this culture was doing.

I'm just too tired.

Wow! I didn't expect a sympathetic letter to Mumaur Quadafi.
I wrote a letter to the Pope recently, asking if they accept substitute
Married Reverends. Seems to me the Catholic Clergy is having a
melt down. Okay?

"I don't want to get caught in the quagmire of nation building around
the world." George Herbert Bush said when campaigning for the
Presidency.

I wouldn't call an attempt on Mumar Quadafi's life murder.
I'm sorry his baby daughter was killed instead. But, if someone had
killed Adolf Hitler before he had risen to power, think of all the lives
that would have been saved.

A very thought provoking tribute to Hanna Quadafi.
It's all part of the war on Jihad Terrorists.

Peace.

There as so many stories here. I like the argument with the lama.
It reminds me of Balam's Ass. I've often wondered what animals think
about. Then, again we are all animals. My only critique is to keep the
stories separate. Rachael sounds like a zenophobe. My sister had that
problem. Her husband would tie her up and gag her. Sometimes, the
cure is worse than the illness.

Fun stuff!

I was expecting a different story. Writing is a process of selecting
and developing ideas for a dramatic effect or is your story a discourse
on your vacation? You set the stage accurately, but nothing interesting
happens. My perception of this vacation is you enjoyed snorkeling.
Writing for me is about fantasy and adventure.. snorkeling didn't make
my list. There is a story on knitting if you make a word search for it.
But, I couldn't read all of the 12,182 words. I just don't think about knitting.

Very well written.
But, I loss interest.

Keeping up with the Jones is one example of social behavior.
But, I was hoping to see a more primal instinct in your thesis.
Basic emotions have not changed since the caveman.
Everybody wants everything and they get frustrated.
The trick is how to use your coping skills to get what you want.
I think you should expand on basic desire and habits.

I like the concept!

This is a fact of life that most people refuse to see.
People can be loving, but there are two faces to everyone.
I wish social studies could be included in our education.
We see so many examples of dysfunctional families.
There should be a psych exam to get married.

This is an awesome resource.
I think you know the greatest hurdle to selling a story
is coming up with a money maker. This limits the storyline.
Most commercially successful films must have box office stars
and a happy ending. The process seems to create genre of
similar stories. Can there be a story about an anti hero?
Nietzche's superman would not be easy to watch or sell.
A story about the collapse of the world economy and the exploitation
of ruthless Darwinian socialism; isn't a family flick.
What if the bad guy wins?

I'd like to here your opinion.
Of course there will be a die off. There is only so much for so many people.
The question isn't should it happen, but when.
I think a world war is coming and it will provide an opportunity for eugenics.
The tricky part is the loss of ozone to thermal nuclear weapons.
Well, on that cheery note, happy Valentines day!

No one wants to offend, but there is a problem with this treatise.
I give you five stars for a well formulated argument. There is a blind
acceptance of dogmatic thinking that must be redressed. When I
enter the chat here I've noticed a dislike for skepticism. There are
atheists, but the moderators don't want talk about religion. This is the
Problem with all Religion. They don't want to talk about it, if you disagree
with their dogma.

Mohamed died in Medina and rode a white horse into Heaven.
Jesus died and ascended into Heaven on a cloud.

Which is true and how do you prove it?

The current view of religion is not an issue of knowledge of what the facts
are, but of faith of what is believed. The question should not be can you
believe it, but what evidence is there to support your assertion.

Recently, the Children of God announced that Jesus had returned in Brazil.
Well, are you skeptical? You can address your questions to their web site.
But, there faith will not be swayed.

I think your nieve if you think religious violence can be reasoned away.
People will believe anything and blow themselves up.

Good topic!

I love Fanny Flora Fuffingham. Did you know Einstein theory of the speed of light?
If you travel at the speed of light, you will shrink. Time will stand still. And if you
survive this dimensional shift, you might have genetic damage and sprout
fire fly wings. Could this be the source of Fairy lore?

Grind up some apricot pits and mix them in your wine with some
throne apple juice. I guarantee you will see Fairies.

Cheers!
