*crying because this poem is so beautiful as I salute both of my grandfathers who fought in WW2*

I....this poem is amazing. I love that someone finally honored the Vertans that fight for our wonderful nation.

Do you have anyone in your family who was a soldier?

Positive thinking and a funny poem is totally what I needed right now so thank you for this.

Well, I never thought of looking at headaches in that sort of way. Half-empty or half-full?

For me, headaches are half-empty. They are the worst!

omg this made me laugh! I love how you're at least honest about the habits you have. Most people aren't very honest about that.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXXOXO

the fact that your bad habit is "thinking" is hysterical to me because that is my bad habit as well!

aweeeeee this is was cute! I adored this story!!!!

the Nutcracker is one of my favorite Christmas plays. my cousin (and now her niece) have played in it since I was a wee thing.

Christmas really is all about love, even if some people don't see it that way.

thank you!

Wow, this is deep! and your authors note was amazing!

it's unfair how many times-- no matter what type of crimes they are-- crimes go unpunished. it's like where is the justice for the victim or whoever was hurt out it?

you should write more poems about social injustices. you're great at them!

omg this made me laugh! I'm a terrible bowler so I can totally relate to this! *Heart*

do you write your poems based off of personal experiences? this sounds like you wrote it from the heart!

"Besides, thinking too much can cause one to die,
And striking a lot is the strangest-ever lie…"

"portentous" and "bounteous" are two words I've never heard before. Thank you for teaching me something new today!

I'm not much of a fisher (never have been) but I've always liked reading poems about it. the classic tale of a boy and his father going to fish is one of my favorites.

awe I like this poem!

I agree: why are we ruining nature for our own selfish purposes? I happen to love the beauty of the trees and water and sky and the flowers and everything else. if this is the place we call home, why must we go and ruin it?

I hope to read more of you!

Review of Faintly Impressed

Was this about a person you meet or something else? I couldn't quite tell :)

the poem was short and sweet, just the way I like em! this one didn't so much tell a story as it told about a feeling or a moment in time.

you used a lot of words that I haven't heard in ages!

You're an amazing author! I believe this is the first time I've ever reviewed a story from you, so congrats on making it so good!

I liked how the title and the last lines of the story were the same. there's just something....shall I say....homey about the whole matter?

Awe, I loved the old man! remembering everything that he used to do. I wonder if i'll be like that when I'm old like him.........

THIS MADE ME TEAR UP EXCUSE ME WHILE I WIPE AWAY A FEW TEARS!

*throws cold water on self*

Okay, I'm good. Let's talk about this story.

First of all, I think you did a good job with the emotions. which ranged from happy to sad to happy to sad and happy again. Which is good for any story.

Secondly, your characters are so believable, it's like I've know them for ages!

it's probably not the best idea to read this at night (it's 2:30 in the morning were I live) and this just gave me the shivers.

How could you possibly like demons as a child? I was creeped out by them! I had nightmares about them.

the fact that they kept you company was a little strange, but then again, we've all done strange things as kids, right?

Oh my god, excuse me while I go shed some tears at this wonderful poem!

this is reminding me of all the things I lost and all of the things I want but will (most likely) never have!

at first, I didn't understand why some of your words were bolded, and then I realized that they were words for a contest!

5 stars from me!

So is she a cat or a human? I couldn't exactly tell?

I want to know the name of that strange man! and why did he lunge at her in the first place?

So is she looking for a man? is that what I'm assuming the story is about? her taking someone home to, you know, do the dirty with?

Review of Diamond

This was too short! I wanted more *Heart*

lol Diamond sounds like me hiding from everything yeah, I'd totally do that for sure! but, hiding your face in the pillows isn't exactly hiding, kitty.

the only complaint I have is that your paragraphs aren't all that spaced out. it made it a little hard to read.

OH MY GOD I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOREVER TO FIND A POEM THAT DESCRIBES HOW A CRUSH FEELS AND I FINALLY FOUND IT THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WRITING THIS!

the lines are spaced out so perfectly even, I like it.

Sometimes we must hide our own joy to make someone else happy. it's not easy.

Pregnant and alone? *makes a face* sounds like a trial for any woman, let alone the wife of a leader!

Is this "tribe" an Indian tribe? am i correct on my guess?

You did a good job talking about her fear and worry in those first couple of sentences.

A vampire? Oh gosh, I've seen so many of these stories!

I liked how this girl thought her friend or whatever was normal and then got scared when she saw her hands. If we're being honest, that part made me laugh out loud.

The only criticism I have is that your sentences aren't spaced out.

There must be someone up in heaven who wants me to smile because I keep coming across these very inspirational poems/stories!

I loved your story so much. I felt all the emotions that went along with it. Happy, sad, depression. Your story is one I want to ready about over and over again.

There was a time in my life where I, too, stopped writing because I didn't think my stories were good enough. I know better now.

Please, keep writing!

Andddddddd cue the string of happy/sad tears running down my face after I've read your poem.

This is like the fourth poem I've come across today that really just grabbed me and make me smile. and made me think about life. Seriously, you people are deep!

That last line really got to me. I felt that way when I graduated high-school which was the best four years of my life.

Please keep writing poems like these. I could use more of them :)

Review of BARNYARD POLITICS
Review by Izzy's Writing

The first thing I want is say is great job for making me crack a smile and laugh a little bit. The idea of barn animals talking make me laugh!

Secondly, I like how you used the animals to represent the American government. That was great, really.

Thirdly, did you do the whole donkey thing on purpose? you know, the elephant and the donkey? That was great!

Looks like your story will be earning 5 stars from me today!

Awe this poem is cute! I really enjoyed it!

When I was a kid, I used to talk to the snowflakes as they were falling to the ground. I used to think/use them as imaginary friends. You know, just being a kid.

I can see this was written for a contest. Did you win that contest by any chance?

Anyway, really great poem. I see no errors with it! I'm gonna have to give it 5 stars!!!

Wow, that Todd is a real jerk! Your child just accidently knocked the cup over and you're gonna go off like that? Seriously, if I was Sally, I'd dump his ass. You don't need to go through that.

I never read the first part of your story, but I really like Jack. He needs to get rid of his wife, Sally needs to get rid of the jackass, and they need to get married! It's so perfect!

Okay, bye!
