Review of Settle Down
Review by Izzy's Writing
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
what a nice sweet little poem! This poem is between two lovers and it was really heartfelt. It reminds me of couples growing old together. "
You and I finally found that one bond

Made a contract of love, but was soon gone

So tell me, why should we still keep fighting?

Do you not see? Both of us are dying." This was my favorite part of the poem. Keep writing!

Review of Bullying
Review by Izzy's Writing

oh my gosh thank you so much for writing these poems. I have experienced terrible bullying and know what it is like so i feel these poems personally. "Bullying can get out of hand,
when teasing starts to over-expand.
Most people bully beforehand,
They even really understand.
Victims know this firsthand,
they know relief’s in high demand.
cause bullying’s hard to withstand.
Now is the time to take a stand,
its time to give a helping hand."
this one really gets to me. Thank you for these.

awwww this was such a sweet little apology poem! I *Heart*d it. *Loved it* The words you used were creative and it drew me in, wanting to find out more. "And those wispy lines of truth,
they formed a riverbed,
dry and void,
that snaked across the valley." This was an interesting line and i think my favorite one as well.

Review of Not Too Late
Review by Izzy's Writing

this was a very heart-wrenthing poem. I can relate because I'm doing a essay on juviniles in the justise system and wether or no they should be tried as adults.
"Refuse to believe them, us, yourself
Be loud, insist, make us understand
So we will cease to ignore you, let you slide,
And hear your voice, listen, guide your hand
Maybe we'll surprise each other
You'll survive, grab hold, break your fall,
And we'll realize"
These were my favorite lines in the poem. You did a great job with this. Keep it up!

Review of One Wish

awwwwwwww this was such a cute dramatic story. The ending was the best part. You did a good job on this!
The way you described the car crash sounded like something you would see in the movie. With the flames and people being trapped inside. It seemed like something out of a movie really.
I would love to see more of your work. You're a great young writer.

Review of 3321 (WIP Story)

this was a sad story.... dramatic but sad. you did good at letting the emotions come through:the most dramatic part was the ending-where she knew she was going to die. The same fate that got Ben, her boyfriend, killed. I liked the idea of a master-it reminds me of Lord Of The Rings. :D

YAY!!! finally someone wrote an irish story! I'm 50% irish on my mom's side so i fell in love with this story!

"The house was dreadfully cold today and Colleen had pulled on a soft warm sweater in a bright shade of green that matched her eyes. She heard tapping as she went down the stairs to the finished basement. She started toward the wood burning stove in the corner and smiled when the tapping stopped abruptly. "

Great set-up! I enjoyed it!!! :)

Review of Out of Place
Review by Izzy's Writing

Drama, drama, drama. That's what i love in a story: drama, detail and emotion. All three of those things are in this story! "I woke up with a start. The sun was still low behind the mountains, and shot fiery red streams of light into the sky. I rose out of bed rather disoriented, perhaps due to the lack of light, or the fact that I was still thinking about the dream that I had. I opened the drapes, coughing at the dust behind it. The marketplace was already bustling with merchants setting up their stands, and the steady stream of people seemed to get thicker with every passing minute. Something felt odd, however, but I couldn’t put my finger on it." That caught my attention and made me like "What's wrong?" The ending was dramatic too but it was a cliffhanger also! Me no like cliffhangers! Great Work!!!!

Review of One True Hope

Not sure if this is personal or not but it was detailed and emotional! I love that in writing!!! Writing for me, it's more than a hobby. It's something that kept me sane during middle school and it's what i wanna do for a living.
"When I was young, I believed, without a shadow of a doubt, that which the world forced upon me. I knew success existed because I was told when I succeeded. Now, I know success has never existed; success is how other people will define you. Success is merely a word, a phrase, an award that is bestowed upon you by people who's beliefs simply cannot be the same as yours. "

That is so true. You have to look good for OTHER people and not just for yourself. Great Job!!!

Love is a funny thing, isn't it?! It's beautiful and awful at the same time.

This was a uqince poem in the sense that it was in the arms of nature and not the arms of a man. Interesting twist!

"Come gently, oh, garland of clouds!
Come softly, for my love sleeps
lost in the slopes and sounds
of a golden dream of destiny." This was my favorite part. I can picture this so perfectly in my head. Great Job!!! *Heart*

Nice detialed and emotional story! Those are are two most important elements in a story! "
But for John, life must carry on. And as he led the sheep down the mountain, fully fed, with the sun disappearing behind the horizon, John gazes toward the distance. With the same eyes that had witnessed war and loss, John looks toward the future. In his heart, the exists, not hope, but an instinct, a compulsion to carry on." the ending was really good! The show must go on! *Heart*

is this a song or a poem?! It doesn't matter. It was great either way. You used detail and emotion and i love seeing that in any writing! My favorite part? "Red crumpled face and peeling skin,
Eyes screwed shut, building cry within,
Fed and replete, shows toothless grin,
My heart you win, my heart you win." It was cute and that's the way babies are! *Heart*

This was a great poem! I enjoyed it greatly! My favorite part? "So tiny to imagine,
Yet much to observe.
The phone rings with abandon,
But to answer takes nerve." This part speaks to me: I hate answering phones! LOL!!! Great Job!!!

Cute, sweet and heavenly poem! I always love seeing Christian works on this website. I'm a Catholic Christian. I thought this was beautiful and the way marriage SHOULD be. Nowadays it's not like that. *Sigh*

"Through our marriage God has sent us,
His special love from heaven up above.
Ours marriage from heaven it was made.
There it was blessed by God Holy name." This middle stanza was my favorite! Great work and God Bless You!!! *Heart*

Aww! This was a really sweet poem. I salute all the soldiers that fought for our country! You were a soldier at one point, right?! *Salutes*

"I listen to the speech they give
about protecting how we live
by fighting in a far off land
but I won’t let go of his hand.

I hope someday there will be peace
but until then, I won’t release
this strong hand that now comforts me -
this soldier that I call “daddy.” " Those last two paragraphs made me smile and cry a bit. Great Job!!! *Heart* :)

Nice tribute to a great man! RIP Robin Williams, he will be missed. "Farewell a friend of laughter bold
He left too soon, he couldn’t hold.
We mourn him as we gaze the moon
We’ll all be there, someday soon." I liked these lines. Tribute poem style. Great Work!!!!

I'm sssssoooooooo sorry for your loss! :( Your brother must have been a really wonderful person and the fact that drugs killed him is heartbreaking. Drugs can be usful but not when people are constantly using them! People should learn NOT to use drugs all the time. Your family must be torn in two: i know i would be. Thank you for sharing this tradgic story with us and once again i'm sorry for your loss. :( I'll keep you in my prayers.

Poor Lawerence! :( Who would want to kill a young kid like that?! Jerks!!! I liked the detail/backstory you had in here. It helped you learned more about the character and sympathies with him! "
At first he couldn't feel the pain, but he knew it was there. But with every passing second the sharp pain began to appear until it was finally taken out, leaving an even larger pain." That just tore my heart out! Great Work!!!

Lover boy, huh? I loved this poem!!! "The first time I saw you, I saw light
The first time I looked at you, I felt bright
The first time I stared at you, it felt right" I like how you used light, bright, and right in a row. That brings a lot to the poem. Great work!!!

Aw, this was a cute little love (heartbreak?) poem. It was short and to the point, but it was sweet too. You're a great writer-I loved the poem. "
AHH…SWEET SWEET NIGHT
THE BREEZE STILL BLOWS.
I’LL SLEEP TONIGHT
AND THINK OF YOU." These were my favorite lines. It reminds me of being away from the ones I love.

The cat in the hat!! The number of time I read that book when I was younger-God knows how many! I loved your poem-it was cute and funny. The cat in the hat trying to change his ways?! Hilarious. "
“Forget it!” I cried out.
“This plan will not work!”
But Sally was angry
And called me a jerk.

“He’s trying,” she stated.
“You have to know that!”
I took a deep breath as I
Glared at that Cat." Give the poor cat a chance, kid. LOL!!! Great work, it made me laugh!

Drama! I loved it. When that guy put the ring on her finger, I thought he was proposing to her! That would've caused some trouble, wouldn't it? "
Holding open the door to the limousine Roger caught a whiff of the French perfume Angela had dapped on her neck just before leaving her apartment. He was determined to hold down the powerful desire he felt for her. He had been hanging around that amorous lion for too long. There was a job to accomplish tonight and any lust he felt now would just have to wait." That beginning was great! I thought he was going to take her right then and there!

AWW! this was really cute! i love it when older siblings can help us out-it makes us love them even more. If this is a trure story, I'm sorry for your loss. Losing someone you love is never easy. I lost my grandma to heart failure three and a half years ago and i jsut lost my dog, comet (we had to put him down!) at the end of June. Hold on to the people you love-they won't last forever!
