Sometimes it's in our darkest moments, when we are finally able to see the light. Although, religion is handed down by tradition, our faith comes from deep within, and our beliefs shouldn't come from someone else's walk with God. My pastor once told me, that it's important how I express myself to the world, because I could be the only bible some people read. That stuck with me, because it's true, and it's important for me to set a good example for others. To leave my mark so to speak. I'm hoping when it's my time to go, that the marks I leave behind, can help bring someone hope and comfort. When darkness sets in, and you find yourself emerged within this nightmare called life.. it's hard to escape those chains that have you bound. Especially when all hope is lost, and you have no where to turn.. and you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. This pandemic not only changed the world, but it took it's toll on all of us. Some of us more than others. And even now, people are still suffering. Will things ever return to normal, I doubt it.. what is normal anyway? But I refuse to stand back and continue to let the darkness hold me captive. I've already been through hell and back, and definitely know what it's like to feel hopeless. Your story truly touched me, and hit home. And you are a gifted writer. I appreciate your genuine approach on the matter, even the darker material that some people try to stay away from. This world needs more transparency, and more people to speak the ugly truth. I'm glad that you found hope, and you were able to reach out and help that girl.. even when you were hurting yourself, and under those type of circumstances. First off, thank you Jesus! Praise the good Lord. I am so happy for your sister, and I truly wish her the best. And I know it might not mean that much, but I believe you. God is a mysterious God, and His ways are not like ours. And I know from experience just how extraordinary God can be. His signs are all around us, but it's only those who truly open their eyes that can see. And sometimes, some signs are only meant for that particular person. Thank you for sharing. I love poetry.. time is so precious. It's one of those things, we just can't get enough of. And when it is gone, it's never coming back. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your story. If you're anything like me, it's not easy being vulnerable and letting people in,especially with everything you've been through.I like reading about others,and getting to know them for who they truly are. And you truly seem like a genuine person, and I appreciate that. It's hard to find real people these days, when so many are trying to be something their not. I'm not perfect, but I rather be myself and be real.. than to be fake, and try to make everyone like me. I'm sorry you had such a hard life, but I can tell, having a hard life only made you stronger, and help make you the beautiful person you are. God bless you. P.s.
