Review of Feelings
Review by sadorose
Rated: E | (5.0)
A poem that tells of very strong emotions. It talks about the confusion of trying to identify them and the intensity of them. This shows a love that is very strong. The imagery painted a clear picture of the process of trying to identify a new feeling. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of The Haven

A very dramatic poem. It pays homage to Poe very well. It reads like one of his poems. The imagery paints a dark picture of the political landscape. The flow easily carried me through the entire poem. I liked that you even included Poe's raven to complete the feel. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of Summer of 1816
Review by sadorose
Rated: E | (5.0)
A very interesting and informative story. I liked the easy story flow that one would find in fiction, it made the story come alive instead of being dry. Giving the cause in the end was a nice touch. It is miraculous that they survived that "summer". I enjoyed reading this.

Review of A Witch's Tale
Review by sadorose
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
A very powerful short story. In the first section did you mean "succumb" instead of "scummed"? The characters were compelling and believable. In the first section, "over crowded" is one word. I liked how you switched from 1838 Salem and 2018 Salem. In the first section, did you mean "bitch"or "witch"? Either work perfectly. I enjoyed reading this story.

A poem of a lesson hard learned. It is illustrative of how pride can interfere with enjoyable and friendly game play. The lesson of letting go of your pride and just have fun playing is summed up best in the last stanza. There are a great many people who would benefit from this lesson. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of One Blow

A very revealing and illustrative poem. The imagery creates a rich picture of the toxicity of anger. The flow carries you along the poem. I liked how you used a red font to represent anger. This poem might help others who battle demon anger realize that they are not alone in that fight. Thank you for sharing.

Review of Shopping

Rated: E | (5.0)
An entertaining short story. I liked the biographical/autobiographical feel to it. This story captures the simple and pure joys of young children. The characters were engaging and believable. You found yourself worried for the little girl as she runs to the door, but then get relief when nothing happens. I enjoyed reading this.

A creative tribute story. Your use of song titles worked in seamlessly and fit with the conversation. Giving the planets names and maybe a bit of description would make the story even more real. I liked how you the travelers "groupies" as a nod to The Eagles. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of Gratuity

A nice poem for the underappreciated servers. They do deserve to be tipped well, or at least paid well enough to not need to rely on tips. The line about taking the server for granted could serve to open some customers' eyes. I enjoyed reading this poem.

A very moving tribute to fallen heroes and living defenders. The imagery of a crying flag was very powerful and moving. The message of thankfulness and mourning comes across very clearly. Your respect and admiration for those who serve in our military is evident in every line. I enjoyed reading this.

A beautifully sad story. The characters are compelling and intriguing. My heart goes out to Mikros. He has to watch his dad kill the bird without an explanation. He is such a sad, lonely little boy, it breaks your heart for him. I enjoyed reading this story.

A beautiful poem. The imagery paints a rich, tranquil and peaceful picture of a strong, lonely white rose. This rose can represent a lot of people, helping them to feel recognized and appreciated. It is a lovely scene. I really enjoyed reading this.

A very sweet poem. You successfully rose to the challenge. The way you compared personality traits and emotions to different flavors was very creative and insightful. The humble hope at the end was very endearing. I liked how you did not make every flavor a happy one, like the garlic pushing away. I enjoyed reading this poem.

A very touching poem to the woman you love. Your love for her is strong and evident in every line. You show your vulnerability with your admissions of not being there or expressing your love as much as you could. Telling her how much she means to you is a beautiful thing. I enjoyed reading this.

A pleasant short story dealing with the anxiety of public performing. The character was engaging and likable. Showing it as a reflection of all of his performances was an effective tool to bring the reader into the pianist's mind. I enjoyed reading this story.

Review of HIGH and DRY
Review by sadorose
Rated: E | (5.0)
An intriguing short story. The character was engaging and likeable. I found it humorous that as he was parachuting down, he had to go to the bathroom and actually dozed off. Leaving the question of whether he was ultimately successful in his mission peaks the reader's curiosity. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of Book Four: Zimura
Review by sadorose

A successful myth that holds onto the ancient mythological feel. I am unclear that if in line 143, you meant loss instead of lost? The reader can nearly see the battles. Alexander is a perfect example of the typical conqueror from ancient times. I really enjoyed reading this myth.

A very touching poem. Your love is clearly evident in every word. The imagery shows the story of the development of a true and "perfect" love (I used the quotation marks only because people and therefore relationships are imperfect). I really enjoyed reading this poem.
