Now that was a philosophical cliff hanger. It was sort of like Jesus who carried both the beastly nature of man as well as the power of the word of God Genetically planted within him by his heavenly Father. You'll have to write more to let us know which way he falls.

I do not feel qualified to judge poetry, so I'll give points for the story. The scene described here has a wonderful story wrapped around it. And it needs the telling.

I like the dialogue between the characters when it is there. Your descriptive work is not unlike someone writing scene work for a film.
However, for doing a written story, the dialogue between the characters should show the story rather than tell the story.
Your work shows imagination and creativity.
