I think it's great the way it is, but I see what you mean. I would have the waking up paragraph first. Then go into the description of the Dad's disappearance, then continue on about the book and library, then maybe give some more information about your dad. Then bring your mother into it, bringing us back to the present. Three parts. Waking up and setting the seen - Everything about Dad and disappearance and the book, (past tense stuff), - your mom checking etc. Then its morning and the action continues.

Nice poem. I like it, even though it's punctuated right, (I'm sometimes facetious). *Facepalm* I was wondering though, is it just a straight forward poem or should I be looking for hidden meaning. Seems I usually see hidden meaning whether it's there or not.

Beautiful! Next to last stanza limb should be lamb. You portray the feeling and emotion very well. I think you show your ideas in a very straight forward manner while indicating a much greater underlying emotion. You have a beautiful soul Nicole.
