You have written an amazing testimony of your faith during the dark journey you have been questered to take. You have communicated to me your heart felt situation. Many would love to be able to communicate so well.

It is through our faith that we can even make these trips without completely crumbling. I believe you are correct in your assumption that we are players and we can only do our part - God does the rest. However, He loves us and gives us guidelines within his Word, the Bible. We can only love are child and tell him what we feel is right (Bible) and what the consequences are (Bible) because of our choices. This is what Christ did and taught. I truly believe that it also is our roll in life and we must play it out. We do are best and then God will do the rest.

You can see how touched I was by your story. I hope you were not offended by any of my comments. Thank you for sharing.

I like your poem and how the words and thoughts flow.
Help me out here. Isn't a Tanka poem to be
5,7,5,77? I could be in error.

I really like your Matt's Renter! You kept me on the edge of my seat all through the story. I hope this will become something more - short story or novel?

Thanks for the entertainment!

I like your trepidation, and I have learned about the triolet. I had to go look it up as it is not one I am familiar with. It is fascinating the many stanzas or methods in writing poetry.

You have done well with your lines and telling of your trepidation.

Love it! Beautiful. My favorite line, not that I need one, is

"Tis Angel’s grace we here imagine,
Horizon dressed to mediate,..."

Review of REPOSE
Review by Seabreeze
Rated: E | (5.0)
Your Repose is excellent. I love its flow and choice of words, especially the stanza speaking of freedom (something to be lost). I have enjoyed reading it, which is very important to me. I see you have been here since 2005....yes, I have much to learn and thank you for sharing.

Still consider myself a newbie,

Your "Comment in a Box" is an excellent guideline and well outlined. I am sending this over to my "saves" so that I can reference from time to time.

Thanks.

Review of The sea
Review by Seabreeze
Rated: E | (4.5)
Very nice. Has good flow. Are the horses the white caps on the waves?

I love the sea as well (Ventura, California). I now live in Utah (with family after husband died to cancer). I have learned to enjoy the snowy mountains but miss the sea.

Keep it up newbie and welcome.

Very nice. I think you are flying now; actually sorrowing! Congrats to becoming a new Preferred Author and still such a newbie! I love your poem and it well expresses your desire to be free and create.

I am a newbie myself and still struggling with finding time for everything at this point in my life. I wish you the best and hope you will stop by at the old Seabreeze homestead and give it a look!

Very interesting. I had not heard of this type of poem - two rhymes and 7 line stanza. Isn't interesting how we like things repeated. We like to hear them.

I hope writing is therapeutic for you. I believe it is good to write about those types of things - get them out in the open.

I will be looking at more of your creations.

If you have time, I have written my first Sestina poem. It requires a lot of organization, but sure was fun to do:

Review of The Stoning

Thanks. I liked The Lottery. Read it years ago, if it is the same story.

As I read this one, myself came to mind. I love a guy right now who is in a mad marriage. I knew him years ago and loved then but I was married. Timing is everything.

Once again, as I read all I could here, "Let him who is without sin, cast the first stone."

Great job.

Review of Blue
Review by Seabreeze
Rated: E | (5.0)
My sense of humor has picked up. I like this one. Once again, Blue is just a little to somber for me. But, I like the way it tells the story and it is to the point. I almost hear someone saying, "Don't let the door hit you in the backside."

Review of Miscommunication
Review by Seabreeze
Rated: ASR | (4.5)
Why the somber ending? It does have all the makings of a confused couple...not much love left. It sounds like a older couple? It looks like he worked it out after all.

It flows well but so sad. Not sure if I would change anything though.

Love it! Has a very nice flow. Nice choice of words and the content is intriguing; I want to know more about the relationship from the drummer boy to the poem creator.

Excellent! I remember the commercial. America is a country where her children are spoiled. We have so much and we should return much back:

Luke 12:48 " But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked."

I truly love your poem.....Thank you for its post.
