It is always good to have polls like this to see what other people think. Personally I've read and written stories for EVERY item here! Lets see... going for that 250 character limit, almost there and yup, getting close and her ewe go. 250 characters! :)
I agree divorce is bad however making it mandatory to take "divorce education" courses is kinda of scary. It brings to mind re-education camps where the government tells you how and what to think. Government is way too big. Look at all the millions of regulations we have. The government is involved in every part of our lives, I would hate for it to become an even larger part through these mandatory classes.
1. Medicare as it is run currently will bankrupt the American government. No one of any substance truly disputes this. Now on the left there are plans to raise taxes. There are plans to make medical care "more efficient." Bottom line is that medical costs go up and more of the population will need medical help. Unless you dramatically raise taxes there is no way to deal with the coming medicare crisis... unless you give people an incentive to cut costs when they get sick. By giving folks a voucher program it encourages price competition.
2. Short time crisis *might* justify some stimulus spending. However on the long term side taxation should be about fairness. Why should people who busted their hump and made more money be taxed at a higher percentage?
3. GOP debt ceiling is simple. Government shuts down if you don't lower spending. Its "blackmail" on a legislative side but its done by both parties. At the end of the day we need to spend less of our children's money. Any money that gets added onto the debt is more money our children will have to pay in taxes.
While I disagree with your POV your arguments are put together well so I rated this a 5.
Really awesome story! The way you describe the scene is simply perfect! And the loathing and self regret the POV has makes it all the more real and knowable. The way he worries about the afterlife is a nice touch. Reading this makes me want to know more about the setting and read more!
I guess I must be missing something. I don't see what the "Right thing" was? Was it turning himself in? I mean just because someone turns himself in doesn't mean they are deserving of any mercy.
Nothing wrong with the writing I just didn't get the point or what you were trying to accomplish with the story.
Great story! I hope you come back and flesh out a few more parts. I'll try to add more as well but you are the best!! Female villains are the best, please continue these awesome stories! :)
