Kind of depressing. The wicked don’t see what is around them, but why not go off and forget it all? It will happen again. Maybe they will just give up.

Personally, my character Lily is busy in charge of her country. She is mildly amused by anyone interested in her. She is entertained by your people’s solution to their problems. She is sure they will find a way to make things work the way they go about things. She seems earnest about it. As much as she claims every country as her own though, she is not claiming your characters’ nations.
