That was interesting to read. As a short story, it was good. I was expecting the cop to use a reverse phycology on the jumper. Then to find out he just wanted publicity for a movie he did, I can totally see why the cop wanted to push him off himself. lol Good short read.

This has a good story line. Something I was not expecting. You added a lot of details that were revealed in the ending. This makes for a good short drama.
Overall I noticed your writing and punctuations were done well. Though I'm no expert, it looks good. Not like a fumbled short story.

Your rhyming in this story is nicely done. A very cute poem about a friendship with a child and a little bear. It would make a nice bedtime story for sure. I really enjoyed this. :)

I have to say I really enjoyed that story. Your detail to every thing a witch would have to make a poison was extreme, in a good way. I started getting a knot in my throat just thinking of it as I read. Yuk! Eww! I was thinking... But I had to keep reading and I'm glad I did. Love the ending.. Very funny and disturbing too. lol
Good Read.

It made me chuckle at the end. Cute story, and short..... But you have lot's of little issues, easy fixes. Try to double spacing all the time, it makes for easier reading.
I noticed several commas missing too and capitalizations eras. Read it to yourself aloud several times and you'll see what I'm talking about. You want it to flow.

I really like your title " Twisted Kittens". You pointed out how the cats have paid attention to the witches magic and spells for so long and the end result was great. It flowed with the whole poem. She must have been a Bad Witch. lol

Love it!! Love the title as well, and love dogs too. My husband and I have 3 doggies now, an eleven-year-old Shih-Tzu, Brandy. Then we inherited my father's very old Dachshund, Little Girl when he passed away back in March. Then my hubby gets a phone call from an ex-employee. He has Bullies he raises and has two left. The look on my husbands face was frighting and sneaky to say the least.
He tells us about this custom breed of dog and how good they are and very protective. Then he tells us the cost for such a dog! $2,000 dollars! I want to grab the phone from his ear and throw it out the window. Are you CRAZY? Then I start shaking my head "no, " no way! My husband asks," well how much for an ol' boss?"
I start turning red by this time. Then my husband says," I'll see you Friday." I'm like, " what did you just do?"
He tells me not to worry about it, it will be a good investment if nothing else.
So all the way home I looked this breed up on my cell phone. OMG!! Well, to make a long story short, she, Nala turned one-year-old on the 17th this month October. She is a shredder of cans, she is chewing the lattes up around the house, every toy and chew rope is trashed out. But she's a good dog.! Just Gotta have a soft spot in your heart to love a pet as family, it's unconditional Love.
But Nala is not the most interesting animal in the house. " Rango" holds that spot. He is going on five years old now. Rango is a Veiled Chameleon and love to dance and curl his tail in and out as if it were wagging. He will be my inspiration for a children's short story soon.

Nicely done. Did Vincent Price come back to life?? That sounds like something he would be saying/ narrating. His voice was very intensely scary to say the least. Your poem of dieing , was truly placed in your words. And you ended it perfectly, with I Love You. Good read.!

"Bravo, Bravo"... that was great! I completely love the way you used the title into the poem by letter. You kept the story together and opened our minds to the wonders of "What's really out there." I'm an alien freek.. If it were not for the History Channel, We would still be in the stone age.. lol loved it!

I really enjoyed that. It made me laugh. And I love cheesecake but, it does not love me back.. Bad tummy with dairy.. And that sucks..! I don't want to burst any bubbles but the lettering I seen used a few times, makes it Very hard for me to see your writings clearly.. Sorry to have said that, but I have terrible vision already, and I had a stroke in 2012, and that makes it even harder sometimes to look at anything requiring light. Which sucks too.. 😩.
All in all I like your writings. 😊😊. And I'll read the ones that are of non script.

Hi, I really like this poem so far, except the last three lines..? You lost me.. It could still be good, just end it before the last three lines. End it at " They slowly fade into the dark." It brings curiosity and the reader gets to make their own conclusion. I really liked it.

Your " Why I write children's stories." Was uniquely helpful in my own love of writing. I also started playing the guitar when I was 12 years old. My mother put me in guitar classes for about a year. I absolutely loved it. Singing and playing others songs made me feel great that I had the ability to do it at all. I never wrote anything of my own, but I did make up several good tunes just practicing. I continued to play up until two and half years ago. I had a mild stroke that affected my left side. Which is what I am, a southpaw. Several months later I picked up my guitar and tried to play. It was worst than when I started learning to play. I was devastated. My left hand lost all feelings of where to put them on the correct strings to make the sounds I so loved playing. It sounded like a sick whale yelling for help and no one could hear me. So I put my guitar away in hopes that someday I can play again. But that dream sits in a corner of my room for now.
I also told stories to my nieces and nephews long before I had my first and only son. He loved hearing me play to him more than telling stories. So I did both for many years. He is now 25 and in the Navy. Living in an empty nest is harder than most people think.
Back in 2005 I set my goals higher and started writing. Not just for children but other stories as well and including him and my husband gave me the drive to write more when I had time. After high school I became a self taught seamstress and then started designing my own dresses and anything I was asked to create. That was over thirty years ago. Again, since my stroke it even made sewing hard, but I have been able to continue sewing a little.
Now that I am restricted from a few of my greatested achievements, I threw myself in to writing and research more. But it has not been an easy road to ride for me. About six months ago I started losing my eyesight and it made my newest love for writing and reading very hard when I could not see. Since then I had cataract surgery on both my eyes, only to be told I will need more within three months. So I just received temporary glasses yesterday to help me see somewhat better until the next surgerys. I will say that it feels great to see better than not to see anything clear. I just pasted my 40th year having type 1 diabetes. My life has never been easy, but I'm not one to ever give up, it's just not in my blood to stop anything I really want to do. I am a do'er not a failure. I have great respect for Helen Keller and her writings even though she could not see. It makes me feel hopeful that writing does not require eyesight, only imagination!
I will never give up. Thank you for your insights concerning writing.
Sincerely
Sewcrazyone

Strong and powerful words you used in this poem.. Nicely done, I add. My husband is always telling me there are two days in a persons life. The first one, you never know when you will arrive and second, you never know when you will leave. Some lives are long and some only a few hours. In my lifetime I have witnessed both. You told it like it is. Straight and forward. Good writing.

What a nice tribute to a soldier. Beautifully written and heartfelt. Somehow you put into words my son and his life so far. He is twenty-five. He is now in our Navy and loving it. As a mother of only one child I do my best to think of only good thoughts when he is out. I am so Proud of him.

How enlightening your poem is. I think my own mother had days like that, but in a newer tub. lol. i noticed several words that would describe my mothers life, she grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Life was much different back in the thirties, forties, and fifties. Our grandchildren will say the same about us years from now.. Who knows what they will say then? I really enjoyed it. Sewcrazy

Your story about the love and friendship of a dog was beautifully done. It was intense and I felt every word wrench at my heart. Being an animal lover myself, I was at the edge of my seat as I read, in hopes the Sasha was still alive. It's remarkable when we are in a situation like this one, and having a dog there to save you makes it all the better. A little dog would have been eaten by the cat, but Sasha kept herself strong even though it probable frightened her more than we'll ever know. I believe animals are the truest and honest friend any human can have. And to the many others out there like Sasha, we are blessed to have them in our lives. Good story that had a wonderful ending. Thank you for sharing the love a pet can bring.

This story has a wonderful touching embrace. You wrote it with sincere feelings. It is a beautiful thing when a parent leaves a permanent mark in our hearts. There were no mistakes I could find in this story, only a real love of a father whom in return showed his love that now is everywhere in your home. As children we don't see these signs that a parent makes, until they are gone from life. Then it hits you like a bolder and you look all around and notice the many signs of love. My mother passed eleven years ago now, but I see her, I feel her embrace, and her love is all around me. She was a crafter and a seamstress. My childhood school pictures are just a small proof of the love she left me. She made most all of my clothes back then, and as I grew older I made clothes for her. The best memory I have is something I made for her birthday. She was born on the fourth of July and I made her a pinstriped red, white, and blue outfit. She loved it so much that it was only proper to lay her to rest wearing it. I love reading stories like this, true or fiction it still leaves me holding a tissue to wipe my tears of knowing true heartfelt love from my parents. Father or my Mother. I can only hope I leave the same feelings in my only son's heart.

Your description of this poor mans death is in many ways too surreal. I have seen families act this way when a loved one is dying. Sad, yet it happens more than most of us realize. I did notice you left out many periods at the end of some of your sentences along with too many or not enough quotations where needed. Double spacing at the end of each sentence will make this easier to read. I felt this story could use a little more emotions from some of your characters plus more detail on the dying mans life that he lived before he got to this point. That would make it much more interesting to the reader rather than pointing out the enormous disrespect and disgust of the Mother. When my father's best friend died, right after the services we gathered at his home to console his wife do to his sudden death. Instead, we saw a new heartless side of her. Which made us, his friends wonder how could she be so thoughtless and uncaring.
Turned out she was just acting like she cared when she really did not. We were all shocked when we seen all his clothes were already in the trash cans out front. Then within two weeks she was gone, moved out and went back to California. We never heard from her again. It was as though our hearts broke again. Time will take is own affect on people like that when their ending comes. Indeed, continue this story to make others aware of the selfish and heartless ways some people possess.

Now that was really a cute story.. Your ending most of all was greatly unexpected. A Dragon.. I love that,, I would add the word 'baby' dragon in the sentence where she see it for the first time. But, that's me. I had a friend many years ago who's family did not celebrate Christmas. They were Jehovah's. She hated it too. But did as she was told. I felt bad for her because I didn't understand the ways of some religions. Once you reviled the dragon it changed my thought from current to passed long ago era.
Maybe incorporate the era of your story in some small way.. That would make it "perfect".. Loved it. Sewcrazy

I really liked how you discribed the girl as she was waking up. The confusion in her mind as she awoke was good.
I like reading story's that capture my mind images. I can see what is happening as I read. This is really good writing, in my opinion. It is different in all respect. Kinda of a strange situation for a child to go through and then finding out it was her parents who did this to her. Weird and interesting yet curious too. I am now wanting to know how this will all work out. Good job so far.

I seen only one small mistake in spelling. In the 10 paragraph line up from the bottom,, "when the rush of "tires."
You spelled tyres I don't think you meant to spell it that way, unless that is a correct spelling, then never mind.!
I really enjoyed your writing. The story kept me interested to see what was going to happen next.?. I also liked the frighting clime to the top of the hillside. I felt your words were on spot and nicely descriptive, not boring at all.
I will add you on my following list so I can read some more of it. You caught my attention with this story so far.
Keep up the good work!

Review of Kevin 1967-1983
Rated: 18+ | (3.0)
This story is a very sad one, but one of many. I can relate to the era since I graduated in 1982. Parties were everywhere every weekend. I don't know what parents were thinking when they saw how crazy and silly we / kids were acting. My theory is that if they never did the drugs that were so plentiful at the time, that they had no idea what was really going on right inside their own houses. They must have thought it was the change in era, loud music, clothes, bell bottoms, tied-dyed shirts, girls wearing pants. The sixties set the stage for the next thirty years. And if you were one of the few that made it, then your one of the lucky ones. Because we knew what we were doing, our common friends knew what we were doing, but most parents were oblivious to the reality of what their kids were really doing. If you brought home any passing grade you were fine. So long as you got your diploma you could do anything and to a lot of parents it was a pass to a better life then they're own. They were blinded by the love and respect we kids back then still had and showed our parents no matter how messed up we were. So sorry about your friend Kevin.

Nice title for this story. You made a good beginning, middle and the ending was perfectly funny. This could be a fun bedtime story for any child. I would read it to my grand kids if I had any. It seems easy enough to memorize too. Plus it is a story that can keep going and going with short chapters. In my opinion.! Really liked it.

I seen where you made your corrections. Good job. I usually do not read much poetry but when I read your Tired it brought to my mind the words used in several songs by Evanescence. They are a rock band you may or may not have heard of but I really like their music and I'm generally old school. I've noticed in their music a total sadness yet it fits this current era in time. Give'um a listen.
