Review of Eclipse
Review by Soulraider
In affiliation with SIMPLY POSITIVE GROUP
Rated: E | (4.0)

This is a nice story. It creates a suspense and there is climax to it. The characters are hidden and we assume them to be human discussing the sun and the light. An eclipse can confuse us and so it can do it to animals. An eclipse has always been befuddling to people throughout history. The disappearance of the sun and its reappearance adds to its magnificence. It is delightful and a treat to the eyes. Many watch it through glasses or shades. The lions want to go over the hill, but the light goes low. They wonder if the sun has broken down. The story has a novel idea.

Review of Fireflies

Rated: E | (4.5)

This is a nice poem. Fireflies amuse and delight us. They are a surprise to the eyes. They appear in the evenings and appear as blinking points of light in the night. A poetry dedicated to them makes us feel good. The light emanating from them is perhaps an enzyme flashing. Fireflies light up our imagination. The poetry has rhyme and rhythm. The image is indicative of the poetry. A firefly is just like any other insect. Most insects can be intriguing to us. Some can be irritative. The variety in the insect kingdom adds to the flavor of life.

This is a good story. An encounter with a rooster seems a bit out of place. A rooster threatening someone is out of the ordinary. Peter takes the threat to his heart and combats his opponent. The determination with which he fights the rooster is appreciable. The rooster is eventually vanquished. Many a time a rooster can escape unhurt and can be difficult to get your hands on. To combat a wild animal is not always a good idea. The rooster hits back at him with force. As a contest entry, the words used are exactly as required, and this makes it attractive for a win.

Review of The Magnus
Review by Soulraider

Rated: E | (4.0)

This is a nice account. The story has a touch of sci/fi fiction to it. The Magnus reactor is under threat. The scene is on Mars and Mars is vouched for. Earthans inside the reactor is surprising and the magnetic storms force the reactor to leak. The story gives a feel of Earthans taking over Mars. Mars is under threat and the person in question is perhaps a Martian. The story is brief and the idea is riveting. Saving the planet is a priority. The self destruct button is in his hands and whether he triggers it is up to him.

This is a nice poem. It is inspiring and has rhythm to it. The microcosm in the animal world is ruthless and survival is a challenge. This might be true in the human world too with lesser wildness. Confrontations between carnivores and herbivores have been in the human imagination since time immemorial. Herbivores have to save their lives and the meat eaters have to feed on them to stay alive. The poem is a gentle reminder of the tough lives we ourselves live with bills to pay, challenges of getting a job, and surviving in the workplace.

Review of A Free Lunch
Review by Soulraider
In affiliation with SIMPLY POSITIVE GROUP
Rated: ASR | (4.0)

This is a nice story. The author's experience with the Swamiji makes a good account. The Swami is looked upon by her family. She is introduced to him by them. She does not believe him, but loves the lunch. The lunch is prepared by the disciples. She remembers the lunch, but forgets about the Swamiji. The story makes us think how we come across people and move on. Their memory eventually makes us feel about our loss. The goodness they represent makes us think about them. The eventual death and burying in the holy waters makes her think about him.

This is a nice story. The characters come out alive. Rebecca and Vanessa are good friends. They are on the lookout for boys who would be interested in hanging out with them. The story has very much of a teenage feel to it. Meeting, dating and being interested in the opposite sex is very much there. Rebecca eventually is able to get Noah interested in her. They meet in the socials class. She tries to get Tyler to meet her. She asks Noah about his brother. Noah agrees to her request. The story is very much like teenage love and attraction.

Review of Vivacity
Review by Soulraider
In affiliation with SIMPLY POSITIVE GROUP
Rated: E | (4.5)

This is a nice poem. Vivacity or liveliness can be seen around us. A vivid picture is the result of seeing things clearly. Is this a part of the vivacity inside us?. We have to discover it. Being vivacious with the dearness for a loved brother or sister is there in the heart of the poet. The poetry is a song of life for the various things we crave for. This powers the vivacity into our affairs. Pain is present. We flee from the light and find darkness. We are also able to see the truth. Our cowardice becomes obvious. We embrace the dark forces, until light filters in. The poetry shows the two sides humans have and how they fluctuate to find true beauty.

This is a nice poem. The common working man perhaps shapes the nation, the countryside and the villages. The men who lead are in tandem with the common men. The poetry brings forth the common nature of life and how it is mundane. Perhaps, our lives are so common. Even greatness, perhaps is common. The common man is every man on the street. He goes about his daily life, earns a living and powers the nation. Miners, farmers, ranchers, a teacher, a trucker, a fisher, a taxi driver, a roadie and many others are common men earning a living.

Review of Brylee's Dream

Rated: 18+ | (4.5)

This is a good story. The story is a dream and it brings to light how we are terrified of our would be stalkers. How they can be scary and we can be terrified of them?. The fear of being impaled by a shadower is very clear in the story. The lady in the story is terrified as she encounters her would be slayer. He threatens her and her nightmares come true. She is afraid and pleads with him. She attacks her out of her fear and beheads him. The blood drips from his severed head. She speaks to it and bemoans Stephanie Meyer. The serial killer's tricks come to an end.

Review of Human Touch

Rated: E | (4.0)

This is a good poem. The human touch can be reassuring. It can make us feel better if we are sick and tired. If it can bring about lesser irritability and lower blood pressure, it can be reassuring. Serotonin may be released from human touch. It can relieve migraine pain too. It reinforces the love within us and makes us feel better about others. The human touch can be the best way to cure people in trouble or sick. It is a good way to heal people in pain. Pain can come down and it can also act as a pain reliever.

This is a good account of memories of Christmas stored over a long period. As Christmas is celebrated every year, the novelties attached with them become our fond memories. Barbie dolls, cologne, the fudge the author's mother makes, gingerbread men cookies are some the things that Christmas brings about. Meeting ones grandparents can also be exciting. Santa eating the cookies and milk we offer is another of the exciting things that are part of Christmas. The decorated Christmas tree and the turkey dinners are other fascination's. The account is interesting and we desire to have such experiences ourselves.

Review of I Was A Tiger
Review by Soulraider
In affiliation with SIMPLY POSITIVE GROUP
Rated: 13+ | (4.0)

This is a nice poem. Animals enclosed in zoo's and on display are alluring to visitors. How the animals feel, we never ponder. The tiger as a wild animal addicted to its wild ways and wild life is tormented. The zoo holds little interest to it. This can vary from animal to animal. A very desperate animal can make good his escape. The zoo keeper if he is not alert can fall to the animal's mercy. A wrong move like a door not shut is easy enough for an animal to attack. Even while handling the animal, it can attack the caretaker leading to its escape. The tiger's death is not explained.

This is a good poem. It seems very fantastic in its making. A villain of such qualifications is perhaps rare. He terrorizes villages and people. He puts them to death. He is perhaps a father or a grandfather. He has left the poet lonely and in search of a a dear one. The villain terrorized the weak and it is perhaps his hand in leaving the poet a loner. A special someone is perhaps waiting for the poet. Who it is? is not known. It is in his mind. Does that special person exist?, is to be seen. The villain is in our lives and how we still go on. Life as a reality we live and as a probability is served to us. How we face it, shows our bravery.

This is a good poem. It has a myth coming to life. Janus as a god and the doorkeeper of good tidings is very endearing. If he brings in new hope as in a new year then he promises good things to happen. Janus is blind to the uneasiness and discomfort that is there today and sees only the good things present in the future. If ending's are beginning's they can bring in a new hope. Janus as the harbinger of new things is perhaps venerated. Why he is two faced has to be seen?. Is it because he sees the past and the future?.

This is a nice poem. Visiting Very Sara's port to read her blog and feeling nostalgic is a nice feeling to convey. Very Sara is liked and is an icon to the poetess has to be understood. People we look up to and grow fond of, are people we haunt. The book 'Life, Death and Immortality: Journey of the soul' evokes interest. Is Very Sara a very philosophical kind?. What are her interests and pursuits have to be seen?. The poetess imagines her composing poems in gardens of paradise. Rainbow shades of light are playing to her tunes.

This is a good poem. It is written with imagination and wit. Choosing a myth to base the poetry in is a very good idea. A myth can turn us on and take us into a whirl of fantasy. Marpessa as the icon of beauty is loved by her poet friend. Marpessa is a figment of her imagination. Why she dumps Apollo to marry Idas, a mortal man has to be seen?. She is divine, but still she goes for mortality. Her friend is the same, she too cherishes mortality. Meeting for coffee and sharing chocolate chip cookies are one way to make the myth living.

Review of Dementia
Review by Soulraider

Rated: E | (4.0)

This is a nice poem. It has elements of despair and dejection. Frustration from effort and how it turns into nothing comes forth. Dementia is caused by many reasons its our effort, the topsy turvy things we encounter, the things that go wrong or it can be genetic. A smile and a walking stick reminds of an old man. He is happy and content. Familiar places are unrecognizable, so are people. Memories are removed from the mind. The sadness and the terror is perhaps of people and situations. The loss of memory makes us frustrated. The dejection can be seen.

This is a good story. The story introduces us to Pokemon's and the interest built around them, since they came into the public domain. Pokemon's as pets are dear to many children who treasure them. A professor making Pokemon's in his lab is interesting. Can this creatures talk back?. Can they interact with humans?. Can they fight evil?. This is to be seen. Perhaps, this can be part of another story. Pokemon as a character enlivens our mind. We live its life as it plays in comics, comic strips and on television.

This poetry is good. It excites to read poetry that is written differently. The stories in the poetry are different and each one makes us think. The stories are interesting. The situations are different. It starts with a warrior and his valor. It ends with a pitcher throwing a fast ball. This are different facets of life at different times. Some are set in the west, while other are modern and some in medieval times. Some are current like eating dessert or plums for lunch. Some go to the beach and others go to watch Van Gogh paintings.

Review of A Lover So High
Review by Soulraider

Rated: E | (4.5)

This is good poetry. It has romance and passion. The racing pulse is compared to Gazelles running away in the wild. The beloved is beautiful and has reached her epitome of beauty. She has reached this perfection by practice and effort. The poet is devoted and enamored by her. She is the center of his love and desire. The poetry brings forth the elements of beauty, love and devotion. Kindness reflects in his girlfriend. He is very much impressed by her and welcomes her in his open arms. Such love is rare and should be treasured.

This is a nice account of being in an hospital. The story is very graphic as it relates to incidents we might come across. The scenes and the narration are very descriptive. The defibrillator and paddles are required to revive patients with heart conditions. Dr.Dickerson is engaged with patients but finds time for more. Farris Costo and his mother comes to see Mr.Costo. He is concerned about Mr.Costo's condition. The lady in the room is Farris's mother. Haley waits outside the room. Farris meets his mother. The story is a glimpse of our experiences in the hospital with our loved ones.

Review of she

Rated: E | (4.0)

This is a nice poem. It praises and eulogizes the other person. There is a lot of trust and devotion in the poem. How we look up to others for what they represent says a lot about how much we appreciate them. The other person is loved and is the center of his affection. This love takes him over and makes him feel good. She is the diamond of his eyeballs. He finds joy in her, but does not know how to expand it. He wants to create a new dimension to it. The poetry tells us how love can inspire us and make us humble.

Review of The Burning Home
Review by Soulraider

Rated: E | (4.0)

This is a good poem. The burning home is emphatic of our fears resident inside of us. This fear entraps and humbles us. The fear also makes us scream and gives us nightmares. Such thoughts are within us. There is an emotional void inside the poet. Setting the house on fire with fuel is very dangerous. It can harm any inhabitants inside. If these are the fears resident inside the house, burning it can only doubtfully end them. These fears will they subside from being burnt to death. Will justice come about, has to be seen.

Review of Violence True
Review by Soulraider

Rated: 18+ | (4.5)

This is a good poem. Violence is depicted in the poem. The killer is brutal.Violence is spread around everywhere. We see it around us. The thought about violence and how it gets perpetuated can engage us. Youth can turn into hell, so can adult life. Violence can take over everything with no end in sight. The poet is trapped with thought's of violence. He is perhaps afraid of it, but cannot escape it. The poetry shows how violence can damage us as thoughts of it can impair us. These thoughts eventually do not make any sense.
