Your piece continually has rhythm through out the piece. The flow is perfect from one line to the next.

I found this piece so close to heart. I feel this was from your heart and soul. I find that family means a lot to you. I found your piece to be beautifully written.

Your title "My Best Friend and Hero" really caught my attention.



Storyline, plot and characters:


I always find a good story when an animal is involved. They always tug at your heart. At the devotion that our furry friends have with us.

Imagery & Emotions:


I in fact know exactly what you mean. Except, we had cats, yes, we had 3 cougar's that roamed our bitty town in rural Oklahoma. We were trying to capture them. But, in the process my friend had went out of town this one particular weekend. My Mabel, was outside and was protecting me from them. I was very sick and couldn't even move, they attacked her and killed her. He had forgotten to put her up. She was my friend and my hero. She had helped me get out of my depression and helped with getting me back on my feet.

Conclusion:


My favorite line is:


How can a dog be your hero and best friend?’ Well, I will tell you.

I totally understand these line's. No matter what others think. Our pets save us on a daily basis and I believe that we do them also. Sometimes they are better company, than most humans.

I found no grammar errors, but I do have a suggestion to separate your paragraphs up to help the reader out. Maybe make a couple out of the larger paragraphs. That way your not losing your reader in the mix. You have a great story about love, respect, courage, companionship and bravery between you and Sasha. I hope that you find this helpful. If you let me know, when and if you make any changes to it, I will change my rating.

I want to thank you for sharing this wonderful piece with us. It brought back wonderful memories of Mabel and the love that we share with our furry babies. I really enjoyed reading it tonight.

I know that these words were given to you and came from the soul, deep within. I know, as well as you that everyone ask this question. Especially when times are bad. You know as well as I where he is. We have discussed this many times. This is one of my favorites of yours.

What a wonderful trip down memory lane.

Ahhh I love a great cup of tea, but I can't stop at just one ...lol. I love Earl Grey, Black tea, Cinnamon and mint tea. But, I have a twist to mine, creamer now that's no flavored creamiers either. Now cold sweet tea, I actually haven't had any this year. 😱

However, as a youth relief often came in a tall glass of very cold and very sweet Southern iced tea.

The only tea to drink is Southern Tea... Lol. I loved listening about your love for tea. Not many American men would admit their love for tea. Awesome, wonderful piece.

This piece drew me in with the title. I lost my mom at a very early age. I know deep within my heart that others that have lost their mom will relate to your piece. There are always those moments when you remember things and hold dear to your heart. You made the words grab me a hold me tight, to remind me again she is near.

A delightful story about another end to a glorious summer day. Every parents dream the return of school.

Imagery & Emotions:


Ah what a beautiful way to deal he final day of summer and the beginning of the new school year. It was as if I was standing there looking out the window with you. Noticing ever detail that you accounted for. A fantastic way to describe a day full of excitement.

My favorite line is:


The golden light of the early morning sun spills through the windows of my home, filling the rooms with the freshness of a new day.
I do the same thing, watching outside my window as the morning traffic zooms by.
I found this to be very delightful piece, with your details you captured me from the start. I found no errors to speak of. A small suggestion maybe put a space between the paragraphs, it would help make it more uniform. Great job.

An excellent story about a young girl who isn't sure about life, who eventually finds herself totally lost.

Imagery & Emotions:


We all feel lost, alone, beaten down sometimes. I've found myself at the end of a rope wondering how I had gotten there. I had everything at one time, last year lost almost everything. This is a reminder that it could be worse. I hate that she died.

Conclusion:


My favorite line is:


I hated the fact that I didn’t even tell anyone that I was out here or even leave a note at home saying where I was.
Well, it has happened a time or two myself. Totally not a good idea.
I found your piece captivating and took me beside her. I even told her she was going the wrong way. Why don't people listen to you? See your details were fantastic, you used show vs tell perfectly. Outstanding job, I found know grammar errors of any sort. Just a small suggestion. You might break it up into smaller paragraphs. I lost myself in the forest and had to find my way back. You have written a marvelous story. Great job.

There is a beauty and honor in the rhythm and flow of this piece.

Imagery & Emotions:


Whenever I see anything pertaining to military, I stop, read, listen, love, cry, and understand. But, most of all I want to hold them, pray for them, cry with them and yell for them. I come from a long line of military. My heart goes to every single person that it touches.

Conclusion:


My favorite line is:


You raised him to be strong
For his beliefs stand and fight
And even from Heaven he'll always be
Your Shining Light.

Very hard to choose just one line. I would have choose the whole thing. But, this line tears at my heart, because we as military parents can't, but be more proud of them. It takes a special person to do that job.

This is a very beautiful tribute to a wonderful man and his parents who all paid that ultimate sacrifice. Please tell them that they have an amazing son. I just realized it is 13 years this month. Tell them thank you, my heart holds a special part for their son now. May God bless them and keep them always.

Storyline, plot and characters:


A beautiful love story, filled with mystery, lose, and sadness. A brother who mourns the lose of his sister. The guilt he held for the circumstances surrounding her death.

Imagery & Emotions:


You have taken your reader's to a beautiful place, a place of escape. But there's so much sadness that they both share. I feel that he was more depressed then anyone knew. And they were all busy with their own life's, not to notice him. In this busy world we live in, we all have a tendency to look past someone else's needs.

Conclusion:


My favorite line is:


“No! You’re beautiful. You’re a beautiful girl, and nothing any ass does to you is going to change that.

This is the saddest line in the piece, but it is also the sweetest. We as humans forget that we are all Beautiful in our own ways. Heck, if we all looked the same, it would not be a unique world we live in.

This is beautifully written with a great flow. You captured me from the start all the way to the end. I actually kept thinking she was going to be a fairy or an alien. Yip, I went there...😀 I did find a few errors, I find it helpful with a second pair of eyes. I hope it helps. There was a couple more but I lost them, sorry.

#1: They stood out, for nowhere else on his path had there been any cedars.

Everyone enjoys a great story about how food or most anything else is invented. A very delightful story.

I could see her eating that bowl of ice cream first thing in the morning. Brings back memories of my daddy and his bowl of homemade banana ice cream at least twice a week. All of us sitting around waiting for it to harden as he cranked that ice cream machine.

I see. Don Isidro was pretty clever, wasn't he?" the child finally smiled admiringly.

I love the ending line, she is so precious. Glad they convinced her. But, how was ice cream made?

What a cute little adventure for Elizabeth. Outtings always make interesting stories.

Brings back memories of garage sale hopping with my mom and sisters. I remember one time I was pregnant and she wanted to go out and get baby clothes. She did all girl clothes, I had all boy's...lol. but my sister's had the girls. Always had fun because you never knew what treasures you were going to find.

“And don’t worry, with those shoes your live will be filled with someone to love in no time!”

Hmmm, where's my pair...lol. I think that this was the perfect ending to your piece. Beautifully written, I found no errors and/or no distractions.

This is a lovely children's story. Full of charm, social behavior, and giving to other's.

Imagery & Emotions:


I found this to be so charming and delightful. Course I love strawberries too. I found her tell Nanny about her dream was inspiration to other children. To have a dream and make it a reality. You captured me from the start and had me right to the tugging her in. Reminds me of my stories and grandkids.

I told her that, "I had the most wonderful tasty day ever."

The things kids come up with. I found your piece to be wonderfully written and found no errors or distraction's to keep me from sitting it down. I think this would make a lovely children's book. Great job.

Title:


Your title "Shamrocks and Roses" really caught my attention.


Storyline, plot and characters:


A story of anger and betrayal. One of the oldest stories recorded is of anger and betrayal.

Imagery & Emotions:


Hate to make her mad at me. Strange how ones mind will think. To justify an action done unto them. I never dreamed of it going this way. Until she stood next to him, then it hit me what she was about to do. Some people take their writing very personal. And actually it is because we write from our depths of our soul's. We see one thing and others see it different. It doesn't mean it's wrong just means we have difference of opinions.

Conclusion:


My favorite line is:

Think green, Leena thought. Think shamrocks, and grass, and mint ice cream.

I like this line because you give different types of green, and do it from a wide range, from shamrocks to mint ice cream. Great job, written very well. I do have one question. In her dorm room she made a cup of hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows. Then in a few lines down you had At the moment, however, the posters and the tea were of little comfort.It just through me off a bit. Other than that it is a wonderful piece. Great job.

Your title "The Dream" really caught my attention.


Storyline, plot and characters:


Is it a dream? Or is it reality? You have to read to decide.

Imagery & Emotions:


You captured me from the beginning a man telling me his dream, but wait is it myself telling the story. Am I stuck behind the door? In pain, agony and lost in a world that I can't quite get out of. Trapped in my own mind, feelings of despair as the walls close in on me.


Conclusion:


My favorite line is:

A soft voice under the door says, “If you don't know me, ask why you have waited 5 years to open the door.”

Wow, a strong statement here. Trapped in your own mind. I found this piece beautifully written and I found no errors or distraction's. You had me from beginning to end. You took me from sanity to insanity. Great job.

Your title "Peace" really caught my attention.


Storyline, plot and characters:


An ancient story of a tyrant and family wanting it to stop.


Imagery & Emotions:


It's sad that a son believes that he has to commit murder to save the family from his father's hand. Sad to see these things happen. Sad that the uncle knew automatically who had done this evil thing. Such great pain in his eyes. You wrote with great detail and emotion's that you captured me from the start to the very last word. Written well and I had no distractions it keep me from reading it.

Conclusion:


My favorite line is:

"Who can be safe from a man who murders his father with magic? You will regret this, Nadir. God have mercy, I will not give them your name, but you will regret today before you are finished in this life."

I choose more than one due to content. I do believe the uncle is talking about Karma. People don't realize the consequences of their actions. I think that they don't even care anymore either. This is beautiful written, you did a fantastic job.

Title:


Your title "For the wedding of my sister" really caught my attention.


Rhythm & Flow:


You have a great rhythm and flow in this piece. You have added nice little ryhm to it also.

Imagery & Emotions:


What a wonderful way to celebrate the joining of two life's together. I picture the broom and groom in their finest, and you reading this at their toasting. Joy and laughter as you read each line.

Conclusion:


My favorite line is:

Will he look that good in 50 years,
When his dentures aren't in place?!

I hope he doesn't have to have dentures at 50 ...lol.
This is such a beautiful piece and tribute to the bride and groom. I did find one error and have included it. I'm not sure but I think you meant to use She'll instead of,
She’s be his soul mate ‘till the end. I hope this helps you. I find a second pair of eyes helps. May your day be blessed always.

The words in this piece have a beautiful rhythm and flow to them. As the words flowed on to the paper.

Imagery & Emotions:


There is no other hands to be in, but His the All Mighty. I was captured by every word from start to finish. Listening to the words you speak, I imagined Him holding me, comforting me in times of trouble. But, most of all us rejoicing together. Enjoying each other's company. You have written a wonderful piece and tribute to Him.

Very smoothly written with a nice rhythm and flow.

The details of your words speak of courage and the need of courage. Without courage there would not be our everyday hero's.

I see a lost love never to return. A love that fizzled out like a candle burning out. I see one blinded by love and the other moving on. One mourns for the death of the relationship, while the other has long ago. Leaving the other behind.

Your title "The Rocking Horse Christmas" really caught my attention.


Storyline, plot and characters:


You can never go wrong with a Christmas story to delight the young ones. A beautiful story to hand down from generation to generation. The best kind.

Imagery & Emotions:


It reminds me of my childhood, of the stories Grandpa would tell us of his days as a cowboy, rancher and foreman. Never a dull moment at my grandparents ranch. It reminded of our simple Christmas's we would have. Now day's if you don't get kids iPhones, iPads or some type of technical devices, you don't love them.

Conclusion:


My favorite line is:

"Sis's package held a hand full of pretty satin ribbons for her hair. She beamed.

This has to be my favorite lines "She beamed." over something so simple. You captured every detail of emotion's that these 3 had for the missing male in their life. As the reader I felt the heartache that Pa had being separated from his family and at war. Excellent job.

I want to tell you thank you for sharing this wonderful Christmas story with us. I really enjoyed reading it even in June. You can never go wrong reading one all year long. This girl had a Christmas tree up one time year round, I changed out the ornaments...lol May your day be blessed. It's an honor to review June's Featured Author.

A true love story of hearts that have always been one.

Imagery & Emotions:


Ok, just a second while I get my Kleenex please. This is truly a heart felt love story. Of a love that belongs together. I once had a love he told me if I died before him, that he would not remarry another. "I asked why not?"
He said, "Because I would died the minute after you, with a broken heart!"
It is far and few between true love now. You did a wonderful job capturing the love that these two had. I read this to my son and his girlfriend. I did leave a a few parts...lol. But, they really loved it and thought it was beautiful. Amay, you wrote a wonderful piece.

Conclusion:


My favorite line is:

“Oh Mrs. Amy, Mr. Ron, You look so happy, so at peace. You two were so special, been in love forever. Now you’ll have eternity.”

Your title "Christ in me- Christ in you" really caught my attention.


Rhythm & Flow:


What a lovely piece your rhythm is smooth and flows with ease. No rhyming in this piece. So easy to read.

Imagery & Emotions:


The beauty in all things that is of God. Isn't it wonderful when you come upon someone hat you know is faithful to God. You can recognize them right off in a crowd. I love it when we fellowship in my church the love that you feel is so genuine. You can feel the difference when you go out in public these days. Sometimes I want to hide out, but I know that it's not best for others. Because they need to see us and want that happiness that is within us.

May I truly become a reflection of Christ to you

Actually I love the whole thing. I hope that I reflect Christ in me to you. I feel Him so deep within my soul. It's like nothing I've ever known. Great Job.
