Nice. Loved the pace. Kept my interest. Right length :)
And because reviews (or thoughts) always have to have something for the author to do:
“We’ll be taking your research material immediately, all discoveries and potential breakthroughs.
Is missing the closing quotation mark....or is that on purpose - a subtle way to foreshadow the alien speaking....

Either way - loved it.

I found the story moved too fast, no time to think about things. Was this for a contest where you were only allowed so many words? If so, you crammed a lot of stuff into the very short story. Overall, I liked the idea and the last two sentences.
