Whenever I review, there are words that speak to me.....and I truly believe it is that which harkens back to what I consider to be the truth in literature -- to Frost and Dickinson (Bob & Emily). It is the forelorn language of love, and in this piece, I believe you have discovered the ways in which it can portray both the best, and the worst that love is...... Superb!!
I am reviewing this item for Karis' Romantic Poetry Contest, as a guest judge.... Thank you for this wonderful entry, and good luck with the contest.
Exceptionally well said, Julie............ It's so funny how we live in a world where everyone wants someone else to do something...... Rarely do we realize that the world of 'we' and 'me' is keeping us from changing anything.......
There is no greater love than that of a mother for their child.......and yet, there is the paralyzing fear that comes with the realization that forever, your heart will exist separate from your body....... Love is our heritage......and children our hope.
Excellent work! I am reviewing this piece for the Circle of Sisters "Rising Stars Shining Brighter" Contest. Thank you for your entry and good luck.
I tend not to be very appreciative of form....primarily because it is often the case that the thought (the words) get lost in trying to maintain form (and isn't that the purpose
of writing -- to write and express)....
I think so! I know so! This an exquisite piece of work my friend, and I applaud
your ability to write of such a beautiful purpose and still maintain the form.
Truly exceptional! I am reviewing this for consideration of the North Star
Award as determined by the Circle of Sisters from our 2009 "Rising Stars Shining
Brighter" Winners! Thank you for your entry and I wish you all the best!
I found this quite intriguing....the use of limerick.....and yet in describing
the most wondrous of all the gifts we have to enjoy.
Truly outstanding! I am reviewing this for consideration of the North Star
Award as determined by the Circle of Sisters from our 2009 "Rising Stars Shining
Brighter" Winners! Thank you for your entry and I wish you all the best!
I've often wondered what they thought.........if they realized immediately all that they had lost......or were they so filled with their own pride and ego that they never looked back.........and only after years did they even try to remember......
Great job of painting a picture of both innocense and regret!
I am reviewing this piece for the Fields of Poetry competition as was hosted by our dear and gentle friend Lawrence. Thank you and good luck with the contest.
Often I read, and I wonder where a person's thoughts were when they were writing.......how did these words find their way to you? Was it a moment of reflection or a moment of boredom? I'm left unsure.......
I am reviewing this piece for the Fields of Poetry competition as was hosted by our dear and gentle friend Lawrence. Thank you and good luck with the contest.
Sometimes I find myself at a total loss for words. An item speaks to me........finds its way to my solitary soul......and it is truly as if the words were always coming to find me.
This is just that kind....and I am in awe of your talents!
I am reviewing this piece for the Fields of Poetry competition as was hosted by our dear and gentle friend Lawrence. Thank you and good luck with the contest.
Did you know that nearly 40% of all homeless individuals are veterans? How sad that we have developed the ability to turn away from the same person who carried our grief and fought our monsters....
There are many aspects to your piece....those dealing with fatherless children and unappreciated souls.... You've done a good job with seeing the common thread in this walk through life....and a wonderful job of understanding that there is always a way home!
I am reviewing this piece for the Fields of Poetry competition as was hosted by our dear and gentle friend Lawrence. Thank you and good luck with the contest.
I must admit that I am typically not a fan of form. it's not that I don't appreciate the discipline involved....it's just that I stumble over words without understanding the heart that moves the writer to write!
You have made a fool of my head with this wonderful display of both word and form!!
Exceptional! Thank you for entering this Rising Stars Shining Brigher Contest! Good luck!!!
Each month, I try to find the right place for reviewing of the entries for our Rising Stars Shining Brighter Contest. I try to set the mood with a perfect day, a great cup of coffee, and lots of time......
Sometimes that works. Other times, it's the first item I read that sets the stage for all the others. You have indeed set the bar high, my friend.......and I am delighted to have found your entry first.......
Exceptional work. I am sure that your daughter is touched by your kindness, and by the gift that you have given her with these words.
Thank you for entering this month's contest, and good luck!!!
We're all working our way to the same place........although our maps may be different.........and our lanterns faded by time and grief..........we shall all find the shore of home!
I am reading and reviewing this for the October Rising Stars Shining Brighter Contest. Outstanding work, my friend. Good luck with the contest.
There's a place down by the creek where the deer have passed, on quiet footfalls........and the morning glory earns her name.... There is a past filled with tadpoles and treehouses.......summer swimming holes & life!
I am reading and reviewing this for the October Rising Stars Shining Brighter Contest. Outstanding work, my friend. Good luck with the contest.
I certainly believe that God has created a special place (a golder bit of heaven) for the soldiers....for those whose love was greater than their fear!
I am reading and reviewing this for the October Rising Stars Shining Brighter Contest. Outstanding work, my friend. Good luck with the contest.
I suppose it my association with Emily....or perhaps I could blame it on being born on the cusp between Libra and Scorpio (balance and madness).....but words such as these are always my favorite. I have fondness for the dark that bears the scent of hope....
I am reading and reviewing this for the October Rising Stars Shining Brighter Contest. Excellent work. Good luck with the contest.
Exceptional work! You have a wonderful talent -- the ability to set a tone (and a heart) with descriptions simple and dark............ Truly, you are a gift!
I am reviewing this piece for the Rising Stars Shining Brighter competition, and am truly impressed (as always). Thank you for your entry and keep up the good work.
This was a well written story.........and I wondered afterward whether she made it to the promised land or not. How many (I wonder) find themselves facing death for a chance at new life................... I suspect more than we will ever know.
Excellent work. I am reviewing this piece for the Rising Stars Shining Brighter competition, and am impressed. Thank you for your entry and keep up the good work.
Although this piece made me uncomfortable (not necessarily offended).......I did enjoy reading it, and applaud your ability to create on the fly (so to speak).
I do not share your opinions (nor do I have to) in order to appreciate your abilities as a writer............
Nice work. I am reviewing this piece for the Rising Stars Shining Brighter competition. Thank you for your entry and keep up the good work.
I am intrigued with change.......by an idea that rises from a simple moment.......like yours......a gaze beyond the window.
Wonderful work.... I was captured by the dancing.....the gentle roll of words against rhyme..........the bloom of a ballerina.......
Lovely submission. I am reviewing this piece for the Rising Stars Shining Brighter competition, and am impressed. Thank you for your entry and keep up the good work.
Always,
Tornado
