I like it for what it didn't say and I share the same concerns.I liked the tempo of this piece. Definitely a conversational piece. It raises some interesting questions that most people iin today's society would rather avoid. Not to say that the concern isn't there. This just tends to be the recuperating process. Someone else is lamenting about it so I can refrain from doing so. Thanks for sharing.
Very inspirational. A glimpse into our economic driven civilization. Thanks for the courage to share it. I enjoyed the simplicity of the style and word selection used while addressing such a heavy topic. The narration of David and Goliath comes to mind. This piece holds back no punches and was an excellent read.
A very inspirational poem. Flawless. Should be inspirational for generations to come. Keep writing! This poem should probaly be catagorized under nature as well.
At the thirtynineth paragraph cigarette may be mispelled. Loved the dialogue very futuristic and sci-fi with just the right jaded sarcasm of the last score. Every thing after was brilliant. I thought of. Nazi Germany and various past civilizations that were destroyed just because someone deemed them worthless. An interesting argument for humanity. Definitely enjoyed the satire and how it obviously mirrors the realities around us all.
Excellent narration. I felt I was genuinely in the room witnessing the Sergeant Major's regrets and concerns. I haven't read a piece in a while that portrayed the life of jaded officers. Short and to the point, it reminds many what military life has to offer twenty years or more after the Glory Days of eighteen
Thanks for advocating an alternative method of enjoying poetry. I usually prefer to read poetry that is intelluctual stimulating. Reading a poem gives the author opportunites for wordplay and a lasting mental stimulation. I tend to prefer to have access to a poem that I enjoyed to reread it at my leisure. Also the stimulation that poetry has to other writers is shortened if the audience is forced to enjoy a thought provoking piece just once. However it's probaly just my perception as a writer versus that of a performer.
Accolades. A very generous flow of the truth. Loved the rhythm and the attack on the superficial that society has managed to
lead some to believe is needed.
It's perfect. When in doubt just let it flow. Concern was raised for your personal well being when days were counted by the thousands, yet I have been there with the details as well. Writing is therapeutic qand eventually you get to the point that you are in awe of your own material. The editing or post recovery stage depending on who you ask.
Would make an excellent coffee commercial yet a second read makes me think of music. Thought provoking piece that will continue to intrigue with each read.
The first essay was an excellent introduction to Liberalism and all that it includes. It summarized the typical arguments against your "alledged" opinions and then being type-casted as a stubborn donkey heroically. It was easy to relate to and exposes the lack of bi-partisan desires within our society that genuinely shouldn't be there in the first place.
The second essay was a pretty accurate assessment of the Bush Administration handling of the politic turmoil they were suddenly favec with. It brought to mind the headaches of having to be the leaders of the free world in the first place. Excellent essay. It showed a lot of confidence to go public with such a bold opinion that was actually a pretty accurate assessment. Perfect.
