Thanks for sharing. We have all been uncomfortable in a place of worship before. Hang in there. God is probaly somewhere within the encouragement you are giving others to talk about their feelings of doubt and discouragement. Keep writing and again thanks for sharing.
This piece is an excellent example of what writers endure to communicate. The question concerning the difference between poetry and prose is a college course. Good luck and enjoy. I would consider it a poem (Filtering Chaos).
A very good poem on the subject of jaded marriage life. The divorce rate is sixty three percent in America. Hang in there. It's good to hear from someone that even desires to write about their relationship. I commend you for attempting to save it. Keep writing. Writing is theraputic.
I gave this poem a five. I am very impressed with the flow of this body of work. It had a melody, It was almost hymnal. It didn't feel as if it was written during this era (2000-2010). It captures the pace of a civilization with its delivery and points out the flaws of a society that takes life for granted. Excellent!
Don"t work too hard. I wanted to take notes. I loved it and that's a good sign. It represents every thing that poetry is. A voice of protest challenging tyranny. The scary thing about American society today is this how long it takes me to find this type of protest against the conservative right. Political solidarity and silence from the opposition will always benefit tyranny. I wrote your name down. I will be looking for more. This type of work should be promoted more. I also want to recommend Randy Rose at 1190 Air America. She was attacking some of the same corperate entities throughout the Bush Administration.
Excellent! Just what I needed to start the morning. I am a forty year old amatuer writer with about thirty years experience. Very over qualified to not at least be doing reviews. Last night I was wondering how long is my book list of actual reads, without including reviews. I am an avid reader. I am always encouraging others to do so and have finally turned off the radio to write more. Keep encouraging writers and readers to participate. We are the ones that probaly need to hear new voices.
would't expect that fro liberty yet i have been there. keep writing. I have used liberty as a metaphor in the past too. It is also a good tool to place the blame upon while addressing the issues at hand. thanks for sharing your work and appreciate the motivation to do reviews.
