Here our author reflects on different versions of what it might entail.
Could it be flowers, an arrow, candy, angels singing and rainbows.

When you get down to the nitty gritty these last two lines, pretty well says it all.

It only took a 'week' to apologize to her.
As she packed for her trip she listens but kept on packing.
He was feeling a bit insecure with her leaving for two weeks.
He even asked if she was coming back.
He took her to the airport and they parted.
Once he opened the door at home he knew the truth.

Our author reminds us how love can change our whole life. Finding that certain someone to make your life complete.
Here we have a woman in love and the reader can feel the excitement in the piece.

Here we have a writer. It is the first snow and she collects the right words to express the sights she is seeing. Something so pristine can only be spoken about with purity.
If she were to step outside; she feels she might takes some of the magic away. So she waits until things begin to melt and then ventures out.

In this piece our author reminds us of summer and all of the hours spent having fun with friends.
Of course there is some work like weeding the garden. Once that garden starts producing the work will be so worth it.

Well, what can one say. There is a bit of funny venting going on here.

Good part:

Stuffing us like turkeys, with synonyms and antonyms,

It is so true we do open up our hearts in our work and sometimes being put down is a bit hard to take.

A lady is dealing with a love that ended. She seems a bit surprise that it was so fragile. Like fine crystal it shattered but now there is only the black and white of truth. Was it really love or a simple illusion?
Most of the night she tried to understand and make some sense of things. She is alone in the morning sun and finds no warmth.
Her thoughts center on how this could happen and why. Maybe even blaming herself for what happened.
Could she have loved stronger?
Could she have given more time?

When you get down to the nitty gritty was she just a play thing? Perhaps only another name on the score card.
It's the other person loss for not being strong enough to at least explain why.

The author reminds us that water can be serene or vicious.

The ocean, at times, appears vast and open to travel. Other times the ocean holds so much force it can turn an ocean liner upside down.

A river is smaller yes but it too can have a deceiving depth.

Creeks appear soft and one can see stones. Yet there can be hidden danger.

So there is no doubt that when water is in charge we best better get out of it's way.
A path of destruction will be left in it's wake.

Love the title.

Sitting there quietly as the day comes to an end. We find our author noticing how God's creatures lay down and rest. The forest is silent but yet magic is everywhere.
How many evening pass without listening to the silence. Before you lay your head down; pray and feel blessed. Be thankful for the bright blessed day and all it holds for you.
Welcome the dark sacred night and the peace only He can give.

It's funny how some people think they can betray a loved one and think they deserve a second chance.
This character gave a willing heart and had it tossed aside. Trusting that same person again is too much of a risk.
Meaningless talk won't be received and certainly holds no merit.

As this character; be strong and protect your heart. Be careful letting your guard down to quickly. Don't become vulnerable for more hurt. Take time to learn whether they mean what they say or if they are merely playing games with your heart.

Fireflies aren't they a wonder? Here we have a piece about them. They go about twinkling. Children always try to catch them and laugh. I know I remember doing it when I was little.
Now, we grown ups, might find it a joy to watch the kids but what about the kid inside us.
Honestly, don't they bring that child out as well.

Our author brings us a tribute to a friend. Not just any friend but one that means more than words could ever say. This one particular day, apparently, it was necessary to try to capture just exactly what this person means and has impacted our authors life.

We have a man who intends on making a fashion statement. He may never end up on the cat walk in Paris but that's not his goal.
He wants to wear hairy pants. Not fur but his own hair collected and strategically applied to cover and yet allow freedom from the heat.
Of course winter might pose a problem but he has that figured out as well.

Will this fashion trend catch on?
Will wives approve of their husbands dressing similar to cave men?
Only time will tell.

Our author brings us a piece regarding unexplained naval lint color. It isn't so much the lint but the color.

Could this be one of those happenings like the missing sock in the dryer? Perhaps missing car keys etc.
Then, just maybe, it could be the characters electric personality after walking across the rug a few times. After all being fully charged with static might be a way to go with the research.
Could it be from aliens? Perhaps the blue lint is small magnetic signals back to the mother ship.

Interesting piece indeed.
Cute and lighthearted piece.
Does make one think though.
An unsolved mystery for sure.

I began reading this piece and it seemed a bit like it would be a celebration. With that mood in mind, I continued reading. Only to find out the ending came as a complete surprise.
Sadness is felt here.
Missed time for memories to be made.
How many lonely years did this character have to live with this realization.
Determined to be stronger and find forgiveness for herself.

A little boy looses his nightlight. He cries night after night. His stuffed dog tries to comfort him but it isn't working. Finally the stuffed dog, dressed as a wizard, travels to the moon.
The moon loves children and sends back some moon light to the boy.

Do we ever really say goodbye to those that mean so much to us?
After they pass we go through stages of grief and loss. Then we must remember to keep them with us.
As our author explains; look for the good stuff. The good memories that will keep them alive inside. Maybe one has a special smile. Maybe one was there at he birth of one of your babies and cried a bit. Who could forget that sincerity?
Some might have moved away and while distance separated death came. We can still grab hold of them from our heart. We have a special place for all our friends as close as a heartbeat away.
The same God that made a place for you and me made one for our loved ones too.
Remember they are walking those golden streets and loving us as before.

Our author takes us through the advances in writing. Beginning with pen and paper and now depending on dictating to get the words out.
Some say that dictating is a freeing source.
Say, for instance, you have a story on your mind. You can freely and quickly express those thoughts while dictating. Writing them, you might miss some train of thought and some important words.

Think of a shrink and how he uses dictating to capture the entire patient visit. He might take notes during the session but later, in his quite time, he will go into more depth about the visit.

A young woman lets her feelings be known in this piece.
She examines love and how it can transform from magic to disaster in a short time.
Love comes in the form of an illusion in this piece. An illusion that becomes a source of betrayal.
There is pain felt here.
Questions as to why are hidden between the lines.
The fact that she could be so easily replaced is devastating.
