Our author brings us a motivational piece this evening.

Although it would be easy to stay locked in a safe walled enclosure to avoid hurt, would that be living?

So our character is dreaming as we all do.
When young the whole world is just waiting outside that door.
So step up to the plate. It's your life so go out and live it.

Fly high, walk in the sun, listen to the melody of the birds and breath the fresh air.

You can do anything with a positive attitude.
Don't let someone do your thinking for you.
If you stumble and fall, get back up and keep on going.

Thank you for sharing your work with others.

Our author brings us a sad piece about age.
In this piece the author references pages in a journal. They are faded and not taken seriously.
They carry the joy and sadness of another time and place. Does anyone really take the time to learn from these pages or are they merely waiting on the shelf.

One might look at this another way, as an elderly person.
Put aside, possibly in a home, alone with thoughts and memories that linger.
Will anyone bother to listen to the wisdom that lies within the person.

As the person slowly fades away with time, as does the journal, will anyone know what they have missed.
There might have been some information that changed their lives.

Thank you for sharing.

Here we see a shadow for what it is worth. Certainly not a companion as some might think.
In this piece it is silent but has evil intentions.

It holds its place throughout our lives and enjoys the site of us slowly growing older.
Growing older means we carry less importance and even, to an extent, become invisible.

The shadow is waiting for the day we surrender to death. We fade away like a shadow at the end of day and become a ghost in a misty haze.

Thank you for sharing.

Our author brings us a reminder of how the tiny seeds of nature brings us so much joy.
They wait, as we do, for the first glimpse of spring.

Sure it's been a cold winter but that leads to the warm hug of spring.

Oh and such loveliness.
Flowers and busy little leaves making their magic known.

Soon the valleys will be covered in those wild flowers. The warms breeze will carry the news.
Wake up little ones.
See natures glory and the intricate Masters tapestry.

Thank you for sharing this piece.

She is alone on this walk of life right now. There was a time when there were other loved ones with her but that has changed.

As she walks she reflects and is being watched by a tiny little chipmunk.

One might consider her strong and courageous as she climbs on and on because this journey is hard to face alone. Maybe she picked this journey or it was decided for her.

She must keep in her heart that she is never really alone.
The echoes of her loved ones with be heard in the mountains as she climbs toward the heavens.

Regardless, she keeps going. She finds the beauty of Gods creation. Also finding the beauty inside her.

Thank you for sharing this piece.

So many of us must be able to relate to this piece.

Being together with the one you love. It's nighttime and you wake. You just watch them in that peaceful state and take in every inch of that wonderful face.

The loved one is not aware you are watching.
Eventually they wake to find your eyes looking at them deep with love.

Oh, and then the tender reach of love that is just as much of a habit as that of breathing. The warmth, compassion, strength and reassurance that only the loved one can give.

Thank you for sharing this touching and loving piece.

This is so touching. A elderly woman looks in the mirror and wonders.
She looks though old photos and wonders.
She shows her granddaughter the picture of her in her youth but the granddaughter wonders.
The woman understands that she will be remembered by those that love her the way she is.
The past is gone. The wrinkles are here but hugs are worth all the wrinkles in the world.

Thank you for sharing this sweet piece.

Here we have a man doing some soul searching. He is so miserable living alone. Apparently they had been together for a long time. He made mistakes and didn't trust her. He restricted her with his constant demands.
Anyway a number of things sent her packing.
Well, he is so sorry and hopes to reach out to her.
Will it work?
Only time will tell.

By the way. Love that beautiful butterfly on your port.

Don't we all remember our first love. A lot of the time it doesn't work out. So those wonderful memories linger surrounded by a blanket of 'what ifs'.

Here the character shares the desire to rekindle that first love if it should ever be possible.
He wants her to come back and give it a second chance. He even asks for God to help with this effort to reunite them.

Those things that reach us down to our core direct us to His power and love.

The font adds well to the piece.
Thank you for sharing this heartfelt piece.

He is alone because of mistakes he has made. When he finally remembers her. His first love. Like so much of his life he let her slip through his fingers. In his mind tonight he is really fighting to survive. He thinks of her and pictures the light she still brings to him in his darkest hours. He is struggling to reach her and her safety.
Although she cast a light for him she is hidden in the fog of life and carried away by the wind.
When he finally reaches the shore, looking up, his heart crashes because she is forever gone.

This is really good.
Reminds me of the old song by Against the Wind.

Isn't it wonderful to read about a couple that made it work? For fifty years they did all they had to do to make a strong foundation for their future and their loved ones.
The work was hard but so worthwhile.
The chance to share a loving smile with all those hearts brought together as one.
All in a circle of life and love that few have known.
Their example will be an inspiration for generations to come.

Thank you for the lovely and touching piece.

In this piece we find a woman writing a letter.
She knows she messed up so bad that it can't be fixed. That doesn't stop the feeling she still holds for her partner.
She understands an 'I'M SORRY' won't be enough to repair.
The mere thought of never holding this person again is more than can be dealt with.
The final entry is that she still feels love no matter what.

Thank you for sharing.

We need to escape from our planet. There is another one found. We send some of our people there. A war breaks out and we defeat them.

Now, those of our species that have survived are on this new planet. What will happen now?

Were there others from the other species visiting on another unknown planet? Could they come back to claim there original planet again?

What about the fact that this planet can sustain life? What if it somehow effects our genetics.
What if we began to show signs of the former species and their powers.
Will the mixed people hide? Will the mixed people be a targets?
Or what if the mixture creates death?
What if the planet is now contaminated by mutant deadly beings?

Thank you for sharing.

She tries to fight her demons yet they find a way in. It has been going on for a while and has her a bit beat down. All the garbage those demons tell her about her chances of seeing the light, is as worthless as an old worn out tire.

She isn't stupid and she knows about faith. She has fallen more than once and gotten right back up again.
So now, she is going pooh-pooh at them and shaking off the fear.
With Jesus as her inspirational guide, can't no one really get her down.

As our author reminds us, have faith in God and yourself. Use those Heavenly Words to help you find a way.

Thank you for sharing and caring.

As I read this funny thing all I could think about was part of our government.
Full of fruitcakes and totally consumed with nothing.

As our character finds one after another in the characters office; some of the insanity sounds really familiar in any office.
Fruitcakes a la mode driving down the white house road. Showing up for meetings and giving all the greetings.

Meaning absolutely nothing, twiddling their thumbs until lunch break. Agenda overflowing but nothing gets to going.

However there is Pork project hocked on to a bill that will take care of fruitcakes from now on. 4 out of 5 will be on permanent paid leave and the rest will take turns baking real fruitcakes.

Thanks for the laughs and for sharing.

What a touching and inspirational piece for this evening.
How can any of us reading this feel any thing but humble and thankful?
When we think of the things God has blessed us with and then see someone so happy with his gifts; it really make you take a second look.
Of all those in the church that sees his wonders it is surely that young boy.
Give this touching piece a read or two. Find out something about yourself between the lines.

She is young and just starting a new chapter in her life.
She has been waiting for this time for all the school years; like most kids.
Well, here it is and she is overwhelmed.
What to do? How to do it? Everything is on her now. Her goals are out there waiting but can she actually achieve them?

All the doubts seems like giant mountains right now. Soon she will find her footing and take the steps she has prepared for.
Just right now, she needs to catch her breath.
Then watch her fly.
She can do it.

The story is written from the little puppy's point of view.

Before long he hears his masters voice. Faster than fast he runs and jumps into the safety arms waiting for him.

I like happy endings.

What a beautiful piece. I had to read it over and over again. I can picture him with his hands outstretched and preaching to the birds and animals.
They weren't afraid of him and listened to his words about our Lord.
Think of all the Lord's blessed handy work that so many never take notice of.

St Francis was a simple man and felt blessed for God's love. At first he felt insignificant and unworthy. Although he felt humble, to be loved by birds and animals alike brought him such joy.
Next time you see a statue of him; notice how the birds make it there resting place. Could your heart begin to understand how much they are loved.

Thank you for sharing this lovely piece on this blessed Sunday.

The author brings us a thoughtful piece about life.
The river of life continues to flow. We grow as individuals as it flows.
Some will use this flow as an inspiration to create beauty. As Thoreau considered the Concord River his muse, bringing his thoughts and wonder of this talent to mankind.

Then Chapin considering nature running in constant circles. First the moon then the dawn and back again. Even the chance of meeting someone in life again is likely because of the interwoven circles.

When the end comes, will we have created beauty as nature does and find the familiarity Harry spoke of?

Will we embrace the beauty we are blessed with and share it with others?

Thank you for sharing.

Our author opens up her heart in this piece. There was so much done to her people so long ago. She cries even now for those dreams lost and their land as well.

Can money or trinkets bring any of them back?
Can the eagle watch from above the love that is gone for Mother Nature?
Can the owl watch the forest and warn of evil coming?
Can the white buffalo bring victory and respect to them again?
Are those long paths of pain and tears, left for all to see?
Are the rocks along those paths stained with children and elders blood?
Do those promises and papers blow aimlessly by the mountain winds?
Do you see their spirits on the horizon and hear their songs across the valleys?
Do you see the tears in the young ones eyes?

Indeed things were different then. Taking a young boy in a bar now would be frowned on. Back then it was just part of their day together. The uncle didn't offer him a drink or cause any trouble to endanger him. The boy thought it was fun and probably felt a little grown up. After all it was time to celebrate after the game.

When you think about it; how many families are glued to the TV on game day. Friends come and kids play and all around the kids is beer.
Yelling and screaming at the players making such a commotion isn't frowned on now. Think how impossible it would be for a policemen to visit every house on Super Bowl Sunday and haul away those having a snort to protect the children.

People need to see to the children's well being and set limits.

Thank you for sharing.
