This poem is for the girl who will always be in my heart... and forever my first love.
Befriended by many
Loved by some
But the intensity of my love for her
I cannot overcome
The loss of her love
Is like loss of my breath
The loss of my life
Beginning of death
My heart is as empty as a drouted well
I look in her eyes and I'm under her spell
The touch of an angel
The heart of a saint
But the life of a sinner
All covered in paint
A lost little girl
Inside a woman whose strong
She fooled the world
But I knew all along
Scared of commitment
Scared of the pain
Scared of my love
Scared of the rain
The rain of hurt which would fall upon her wounded whole.
Whole body
Whole spirit
Whole emotion and soul
She lost my body
She lost a part
That she will never get back
But she won't lose my heart
So from one world to another
To the end of the sea
I will keep her in my heart
For all eternity.
