Do You Wonder?

A friend of mine died, and I wrote this for the funeral

Do You Wonder?
Do you ever wonder
What happens to someone
Who is kind, loving, cheerful
But yet immature
Who dies in an accident
And everyone they knew mourns
For the loss?
I do ...
I wonder if they're still here on Earth
But no one can see them or if they go somewhere
Beyond the knowledge of man to heaven ...
Or somewhere else ...
Where not everyone wants to go
Will man ever find the answer
To where the spirits of the dead go?
Or will it be unknown until who knows when?
I wonder because
My friends and I have lost
A member of our family
We'll miss him dearly.
