Ever been made to feel like you're different?
I know that I'm different,
You don't have to point it out,
You're always so mean and obvious,
You don't know what I'm all about.

When I look at you, you begin to whisper,
Then you all laugh, point, and snicker,
Does it make you feel big to hurt me?
Do you realize what you do to me emotionally?

I try hard to measure up and fit in,
But no matter what I do, I know I'll never

What is my crime? What have I done?
Just because I'm different, is it ok to make fun?

Maybe someday you'll see,
All the terrible things you've done to me,
Sure it hurts because it was wrong,
You thought I was weak,
No I wasn't, I was strong.

That was long ago when I endured so much pain,
At the hands of you feeling I had nothing to gain.

I thank you all for never being my friends,
For making me the outsider, and not letting me in,
Thanks for reminding me that I wasn't like you,
And for all of the changes you took me through.

That was life changing,
Made me do some re-arranging,
About the person I would later become.

Emotionally I grew stronger,
You can't hurt me any longer,
Because with people like you, I'M DONE!

This is for anyone who's ever been made to feel like they were different.
