The unknown pain and confusion life brings.
I'm crying out
Burying my face in my hands
Wondering why the sky
Is falling upon me

The confusion is consuming me
And I am about to shatter
Into the thousands of pieces
That once made me the sure person that I was

These dreams are haunting my every thought
I can't take this anymore
This confusion and unknown pain
Why is it all coming back to me?

You stand at the corner of that doorway
Telling me of the danger that is approaching
And these haunting dreams I'm having
Are a warning

I see that beautiful golden sword
Shining ever so brightly
I wish to hold it in my hands
And fight off this unknown pain and confusion

Instead, I hear these words come from you
That this sword that so desperately I wish to grasp
Will be the very sword
That is plunged through my heart

'Why? Who would do such a thing?'
I ask of you the answer,
But you are only able to look away

I understand now.

I'm crying out
Burying my face in my hands
Wondering why the sky
Is falling upon me

All this unknown pain
All this enveloping confusion
It has to stop
How though...?

'This battle can only be delayed, for it is an endless war.'
