A pleiades with 'æ' and 'ay' sounds. The day before May Day.
April

aprons gather the day as
aching bones and muscles work
at picking flowers for the feast:
apricot, cherry, peach.
Able-bodied youth and elders
anchor ribbons, raise the pole.
Age knows no beauty better than May.

         (this final day of April)
