Apathy

Apathy: an experience we all have. all written in lower case on purpose.

at the kitchen sink.

hot water
dribbling from the tap.

staring
at the splashback.

i'm not
paying attention.

groceries
cover the kitchen floor.

the chicken
should not thaw out.

i can't
have it defrost.

i sigh.
i blink.

i should
hang out the washing.

i look down.

the sink
is full of dishes.

the tap
is still dribbling.

my clothes
are wet.
