Overtones with images not for children. There are cellos and there are cello players!
Frenetic nerves jitter
underneath the auburn hair.
He jerks the cello bow
across the strings
with calloused fingers
or the strains of Jupiter.
I, would be his cello,
feel his hand caress my wood,
as fingers work my strings.
I would not care how long his bow,
how hard the pluck
that brings forth music from my soul.
My celestial song would only ask
to croon along, my toneless heart
responding to his touch and bow.
Each savored pluck strung low,
in duets private, soulful, slow.
