Forgotten Cop

My first acrostic poem about the forgotten cops.

Forgotten Cop

Forgotten behind the walls of captivity
Only the brave work in the face of danger
Remembering those lost in the line of duty
Guarding those who would do us harm
Ordinary soldiers in extraordinary jobs
Their beat is the toughest one around
The forgotten cops behind prison walls
Ever vigilant in the face of society's fear
Never hesitant when duties call them
Conscious of the great risk involved
Officers for the public's peace of mind
Putting their personal safety on the line
