My grandfather passed away on Dec. 16th. This is a poem in his honor. |
| The pain of your passing never leaves, Like a scar that never heals. I ignore the fact I took you for granted, Now I know how mourning feels. I knew it was going to happen, As if a shadow was creeping in, Then, suddenly, you were totally gone. We let your fatal sickness win. Your smile was Grandma's heaven, Everyday you were alive was a godsend, But the monster that you were facing Would be your timeless end. Now that you are gone from us, Up above in the sky, I can't wait to see you again, But I am afraid to die. So please, if you are listening to This little, tiny prayer, Then remember this: I still love you, even up there. |
