I wrote your name in the clouds,
but the wind blew it away.
I wrote your name in the sand,
but the waves washed it away.
I wrote your name with the stars,
but morning took it away.
I wrote your name with my tears,
but my mother wiped it away.
I wrote your name in my heart,
and forever it will stay.
