A Beautiful Thing

this poem was written for my x-girlfriend Christina...I Love you

A beautiful flower
Radiant in its perfection.
Golden petals like tears from the sun
Glimmer in the light.
A bead of dew upon it
The thread of life held within
Enveloping the soul.
How I wish to hold that flower
Her beauty that transcends all time.
A flower such as this
Is never to be possessed.
It blooms in freedom
And blossoms in love.
