The Feeling Inside

I never thought I would let myself trust again
But somehow, you broke the barrier within

With you, I could be the true me
Because you saw something that nobody else could ever see

The smile that you brought to my face
Is one that no one else could ever replace

Whenever you came near
All my problems would disappear

The nights we had of complete bliss
Are what I can't help but miss

You held a place in my heart
All the way from the start

Whenever I was hurt
You were there for comfort

But now, whenever I try to look you in the eye
All I want to do is cry

I will never forget the day
You started to slip away

Thinking of the love we once had
Makes me feel really sad

Deep down I do know
I need to learn to let go
