The tale of the exodus of the other-folk from the Earth as told by a hidden onlooker.
A melancholy sky mourning midnight blue
Looms above wooded paths I must pass through
The full Moon’s nowhere in sight
Upon this eve bereft of light

A phantasmal sight upon midnight’s shore
As the Astral realm opens its door
The Elf host rides out to feast
Cold winds crawl forth from the east
And the bard now strikes the strings of his lyre
Seven witch queens dance ‘round the fire

I, from behind this oak tree
wish to join what I see
This gathering of other-folk nobility

And the night sets in!
Owls screaming their choir
Warriors proud gather ‘round the fire
For their exodus will soon begin...
As the night sets in!

Proud hands pass the pipe lit
‘Round the circle, where dwarf masters sit
This most joyous celebration
Hearts filled with mirth and elation
A new kingdom lies far to the west
There, away from sorrow, they’ll rest

A gathering of every witch, dwarf, and fay
All have come to hear what the wise ones say
Fore ere morning all would sail away

And the night sets in!
Owls screaming their choir
Warriors proud gather ‘round the fire
For their exodus will soon begin...
As the night sets in!

For strife and greed bind mankind now
They’re harnessed by others, led about like the cow
No Elf or dwarf will remain after this eve
For all to long have yearned to leave
Yet one day to our side they will come again
But for now the gods of old leave this land to men

And as they left Morrigan took me by the hand
Here upon their last ship I now stand
Sailing off for some new land...
