The one you're holding now...
But as myself I place last.
It doesn't matter what my heart says
I never hold onto things
who others want, I give.
I torture myself
saying it wasn't me
you were needing,
I called your name.
But you never came.
I slip silently away.
To not pull you close..
only to allow the pain
to sink in fully.
