wrote when my grandfather recently passed away

knowing that i'll never see your your face
or hear your voice again
my eyes fill with tears
we've had so many memories
i can't believe your gone
i'm sure you know i'll miss you
your empty seat on the couch
will never go unnoticed
i've loved you for so many years
you've filled my life with happiness
all those years you taught me well
to go to church and sing to God
but now you've gone to heaven
with the angels up above
to watch over me everyday
until i meet you once again
