Would we do-

If we really
Had to say
Goodbye
For good.

Would we realize
We are meant
To be-

Vow our eternal,
Undying love
For one another-

I surely
doubt it.

You'd want at least
One more fuck.

And I would
Completely fool myself
Into thinking I was losing
Something Great.

When in truth-

We said goodbye
To any real thing-

Long, long ago.
