Raiments and colours stripped bare
Exposing the world as it truly is
With our fruitless little lives and fruitless little dreams

Have you ever watched the sea on a rainy day
Waves beating mercilessly
Wind blowing ferociously
The true nature of the deep blue exposed to all

Have you ever watched the sky on a rainy day
Thunder crackiling angrily
Clouds darkened and outlined
Watching ominously as we hurry by

Have you ever watched a rainy day
Clouds pouring out their sorrow
Trees fighting a losing battle with the wind
And all the while the rain falls...
