This is a poem I wrote about someone I cared about very much

You and I and dreams


You only ever get what you want in dreams
But I can't sleep
Without your eyes to help me escape reality
Without your scent to breathe fiction
Without your touch to draw me into a fantasy world
You only ever get what you want in dreams
But I can't sleep
We could lie in a field of grass
Watching the fireflies dance with pixies
The birds mix with dragons
From forever twilight
To infinite sunset
We could live in this dream
Together
But you only ever get what you want in dreams
And I can't sleep
I won't sleep
Without you
