The incompetent turn consultants. An outdated line.
But a concept old as print at least, for evidence of unasked advice.
Now certain default rules are built in life, like the need
To be 'settled' by 25, own a house, have kids in school, a vehicle or two,
Travel abroad, upgrade and flaunt everyday props, pursue
A pseudo-altruistic view of living mainly to show-off. At least, many of them do.
Those ignoring such tentative formulae, by necessity or choice
Are zapped with trashcans of advice, like polluting mental noise.

Both are wise, says a broader view. They do what they want to
Savour or swank the world, or seek to understand unanswered
FAQs of life. Still others tread the many paths between these two extremes.
A million worlds can co-exist, without much conflict and blessed are those who
Can move about, without wearing themselves out. They are all occupied
Except the owls hooting free advice. If only they would get their lives.
