I wrote this poem back in 2003. The inspiration that inspired the poem was a man I had a crush on. I wrote this poem in hopes we'd be together as boyfriend/girlfriend.

One Day We Will Be Together

You are the person I think about.
When I think of you,
I am never sad.
Just one look at your picture
gives me hope one day we will be together.

I never realized how much you meant to me
until you left me waiting for your return.
Where are you?
Do you even care about me?
I know I care about you.
One day you will say "I love you".
I will answer "I love you, too".

One day we will be together.
You and me,
holding hands,
embracing,
caring for each other.
I hope that day comes soon.
