Inspiration, Dedication and Longing

I long to write like Og Mandino
Touching the hearts and souls of many
Changing their lives and watching them grow
While struggling in this world of plenty

I ache to write like J. K .Rowling
Reaching the minds and hearts of many
With wizards and broomsticks abounding
Spellbinding kids and over twenty

I desire to write like Hemingway
Fueling our drive for adventure
Delivered while living his own way
To no one was this man indentured

Emerson taught Self Reliance
A philosophy for living life
A master in psychological science
Shared many keys for avoiding strife

Lewis Carroll, Tolkien, and Whitman,
Began writing somewhere just like me
Let them all be my inspiration
I commit to just writing like ME.
