A poem on Salmacis, just before she met Hermaphrodite
Standing in the pond
Right in the middle of a garden
The flowers are so round
All is soon forgotten

Being near a river
Sweetness of the water
Act of purification
The pond of sacred divination

A place to be found
It's a sacred ground
Surrounded by forest
Host for birds and their nest

A link with the gods
In their far away stronghold
Divination in a strange code
Making people bold

The beauty of the wild
Man's impact mild
Last corner of green
A lot to be seen

Time to deceive
A power to give
Bad luck for the lucky one
A curse to do only once

To fill the loneliness
Time for tenderness
No place in a man's heart
Choosing one is a good start

The nymph searching a mate
Even for her, death is a fate
Wanting to know love
To treasure and to love

Looking in the pond
Time seems so long
Friends long gone
Feeling so alone

Welcoming a young man
Attraction not to be banned
An handsome sight
The marvelous Hermaphrodite
