|Errol Scott's recent short story "Captain Shio and the Susa-no-wa" is due out in 2006 in the Wascana Review (exact date soon to be announced).
Captain Shio, a cognac connoisseur, faces off against Aisu, a grey-eyed pilot who has been besting Shio his whole life. It's the squall-ridden, long-distance yacht race of the summer. This time, whatever it takes, Shio is determined to win.
The Wascana Review is a journal of contemporary poetry and fiction that was founded in 1966. TWR favors both traditional and cutting edge work and also includes critical articles on poetry and fiction.
