You’d give anything
But would you give up?
Would you let it go,
Pass by and fade away,
Forgotten like any other day?

You’ll love me
But for how long?
Is there a constraint on time,
Quickly losing moments with you,
Swiftly turning old from new?

You’ll spit out harsh comments
But will it always end up alright?
Could you hurt me like you did tonight?
Untrusting and spiteful words cut deep;
Stick in my mind and won’t let me sleep.

You’ll doubt me
But for what reason?
With no veritable evidence,
And when it’s just in your mind,
What proof can you find?

You’d leave me;
But really, if the chance was given?
A clear-cut path
A straight shot out
Would you take that route?
